It’s a bit off the center

It has a nice little courtyard and also a rooftop seating area that you can watch the volcanoes day and night. Water refill stations were available. The hotel was pretty quiet from road noise in the evening for the most part. The staff was incredibly nice. We arrived much earlier than our check in time and they offered to keep our luggage secure in the room until our check in time (they also offered for us to pay a fee and fully check in early with room access but we wanted to go wander the city anyway).

It was quite a bit further away from the city center and markets than we expected. It’s a walkable city, but the sidewalks are very tiny and cars go very fast so that could be nervewracking with small kids like us, we had to carry them a lot to get around. Not many restaurants close by so we walked a lot to get places. The walls of the hotel are also very thin so it got quite noisy when people would talk or do phone calls in the seating areas outside the room. This put us on edge because having small kids we were constantly feeling the need to have them be extra quiet. In our room you also have to practically climb over one of the beds to get in the bathroom door, which was kind of annoying. The beds were VERY hard mattresses, not very comfortable.
