'Runway View' at Shobdon Airfield, Herefordshire

For aircraft enthusiasts great location. Caravan fully equipped and clean.

Local amenities a little scares … Small Londis in the village and one pub with limited menu.

It was easy to find, and very quiet during the evening, as we were near the airfield we didn't hear any noise late at night.

Shower was great! Better pressure than my shower at home and no issues with hot water. Well equipped kitchen for a static caravan. Fairly clean overall though see my comments below

Booking.com description for this property was a "Double Bed, 2 single beds and a sofa bed". This is not entirely accurate. One of the single beds was a futon with the futon cushion serving as a matttress. I'd have expected 2 single beds. Also the sofa bed isn't a sofa bed, it's just a sofa that is wide enough to allow one person to sleep. Maybe the limitations of the Booking.com system in that the owner is unable to define it, but they could be a little more open in the property description of the sleeping arrangements, so there's no surprises when you arrive and get inside. Having pulled out the sofa cushions expecting to find a pullout bed I discovered food (pringles, sweets and chocolate), grass, hair, dust and an used disposable vape underneath. Not what I'd call a pleasant find though in fairness it was out of sight so would have been easily missed during cleaning. The caravan could have been better cleaned as there was in places a light covering of dust on surfaces as well as a toilet light infested with dead insects. Toilets, sinks and shower were clean as were the carpets. The black bin outside was full as the previous caravan occupants hadn't bothered to empty it on leaving and neither had the cleaner. So I spent part of my holiday hoovering a sofa and clearing a bin of someone else's rubbish. Not ideal. Lastly one of the rooms in the caravan was marked private and locked with a padlock, I was under the impression we'd have had the whole caravan. Again this is not mentioned in the booking.com owner's description.
