Acadie Saint Victor - Hôtel restaurant -Face mer- Châtelaillon plage

This hotel was a fantastic find! The deal staff were very helpful and friendly. My son can speak French, but the last included us in English in some conversations The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. There was a small road to cross (very quiet road), and then straight onto the beach! It was a 5-10 minute walk to the main restaurant and cafe area. It's a 10 minute walk to the train station that takes you to La Rochelle where there is also lots to explore. The town itself encourages cycling, and because of this, the walk along the front felt very safe. The markets are also amazing! The covered daily market had all sorts of fresh food. The street market that is on twice a week is awesome, I clocked it at half a mile with stalls on both sides! This is a lovely place to visit.

The room we had was described as having a garden view, there wasn't one! This didn't bother us though as we didn't spend much time looking out of the window! It's worth being aware of the tide times, and organising your day around them if you enjoy going in the water. When there is a low tide it is a very long walk to the sea, but at high tide, the beach is perfect.

Great location beachfront. The room though a little small was very fresh, maybe newly renovated. Breakfast was very good. There is a bar and restaurant serving dinner. A 30min drive into La Rochelle.

Nothing to do with the hotel but the tides on the beach are extreme and at low tide you need to walk about a km to get to the water.

Wheelchair accessible room but fixed furniture blocked access to bathroom.

The beach was right out the front. The wifi worked well. There is street parking right out front.

The room could have been cleaner. There was only two small bottles of shower gel, no hand soap. There was no one on reception when we checked in and only saw someone when we checked out. There isn’t an elevator only stairs to the second floor.
