Pretty happy with our stay.

It is a beautiful apartment and the host was nice. It was great to have access to the pool and the sauna. Being able to order bread in the morning was nice as well.

The pool and sauna closes quite early although we were not the last people there so not sure if it perhaps stays open longer on demand but would have been cool it was open late. The app did not work well and was not in English so did not use that.

The stay would have been exceptional had it not been for the surprise extra costs

The place is fairly new and beautiful, and the apartment was large. It was quiet and very sunny, and had a bIeautiful view of the mountains.

When we arrived, we were told that we had to pay an extra 250+ Euros, including 40 Euros for linen and towels. Not only had this not been mentioned on the Booking.com site, which said that there would be no extra costs, but we had already paid 40 Euros when we booked the room with Booking.com, which meant we actually paid 80 Euros for towels and sheets. We also had to leave a security deposit of 500 Euros, which was much more than what had been advertised online. Booking.com said we would need to settle this with the FranceComfort, but FranceComfort said they had received the price from Booking.com. In the end, the stay would have been exceptional had it not been for the surprise extra costs.

Great place to stay

brand new, great flat, awesome pool, steam room and jacuzzi - perfect after a day of skiing! Pretty close to Chatel with the added bonus of bypassing the traffic when going for pre la joux!

Loveky apartments

the apartments are clean, nicely furnished and the leisure facilities, although small are great!

At times, it felt like the property was cutting costs too far and somewhat spoiling the experience as a result. eg o my providing two complementary coffee capsules when we were three guests, only giving two dishwashers tabs for an entire week (when they’re charging 129 Euro for cleaning that feels mean!) likewise, no matter the time of day. there was never toilet paper in the public loos and no soap in the mens bathroom or in the public showers. This not only felt a bit mean but, in covid times, was perhaps ill advised! they are among for a ‘high-end’ and addressing these little oversights ( for very little cost) would help them better achieve it.

Le logement était propre, bien équipé et très spacieux.

La literie, les matelas étaient assez mous. La position des logements juste au dessus du village d'Abondance qui oblige à prendre la voiture pour chaque déplacement. De plus, une caution de 250 euros sur 500 euros nous a été prélevée un mois après la fin de la location, sans n'avoir reçu aucune facture, pour un loquet d'ouverture en métal sur une porte fenêtre, qui s'est cassé au moment ou nous l'avons touché. L'email reçu qui nous informait du prélèvement de la motié de la caution a été envoyé en allemand, ce qui est limite du foutage de gueule. J'ai dû utiliser un traducteur pour savoir de quoi il en retournait. En gros, j'ai la désagréable sensation de m'être fait arnaquer sur cette location. Donc même si le logement était très bien et avec du recul, la note passable me semble justifiée au vu de ce qu'il s'est passé.

Fantastisch

Fantastisch mooie en grote appartementen van alle gemakken voorzien. Hoogwaardig niveau van luxe. Omgeving waar ontzettend veel te doen is.

De omgeving (natuur) viel ons persoonlijk iet wat tegen. Maar dat is echt een persoonlijke mening, gezien wij de hoge Alpen gewend zijn.

Fijne plek voor een skivakantie in de Franse Alpen

Prachtige appartementen, nagenoeg nieuw en met een frisse uitstraling. Faciliteiten zijn dik in orde, mooi zwembad, nette parkeergarage, complete voorzieningen in de appartementen zelf. Mooie dorpjes eromheen met voldoende horeca, winkels, faciliteiten, etc. Groot en divers skigebied op rij-afstand.

De locatie is t.o.v. de skipistes wel wat tijdrovend. Reken erop dat je zeker 15 tot 20 minuten aan het rijden bent naar de eerste lift die toegang geeft aan het gebied van Châtel. Voor het meer uitgebreide gebied van Portes du Soleil, heb je nog wel wat extra liften te gaan voordat dit gebied bereikt. Beginners zullen genoeg hebben aan alleen het skigebied van Châtel. Tip voor de meer ervaren skiërs is om voor het gratis parkeren te gaan bij de liften van Pré la Joux en daar ook de skilessen evt te boeken, dat is een stuk handiger dan in het drukke dorp van Châtel een parkeerplek moeten zoeken. Bij het appartement viel eigenlijk niets tegen, met uitzondering van de wat minder servicegerichte (Nederlandse) eigenaren. Zo was wat eerder inchecken absoluut geen optie en was het bestellen van broodjes voor de 'wisseldag' niet mogelijk. In de week van ons verblijf ontstond er een stroomstoring die wat langer aanhield waardoor er geen verwarming en warm water was op een van de dagen. Balen natuurlijk, maar de communicatie daarover was zeer matig. Gasten moesten er maar zelf achter komen en als er navraag werd gedaan was het antwoord 'we zijn er al de hele dag mee bezig, we kunnen er ook niks aan doen!' Uiteindelijk is er toch met wat hulp blijkbaar een gedeeltelijke oplossing gevonden en konden we ons weer verwarmen na een koude dag in de sneeuw.
