Location was pretty good.

Some unfortunate issues with plumbing and ants in the water purifier.

Good communication with host: Jucemar left me precise details on how to access the apartment two days before my check-in date (a day before my long-haul flight). He even already kept in touch two weeks before my arrival. He was highly responsive and accommodating. Bonus: he updated me when the unit was ready for occupation (with pictures!) and even left chocolates because it was Easter month - a kind and generous gesture. Location: The condo was extremely central, close to transport, shops, a post office, and the beach. It's the perfect central location to access Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, Sugar Loaf Mountain and downtown Rio. Aside from public transport, it is also frequented by Ubers and taxis, extremely accessible to the airports and bus terminals. The closets metro station was Botafogo, three blocks away. The Unit: The studio was functional with a bed, table, kitchen and bathroom. There's a Smart TV in the bedroom perfect for relaxing. Cristo Redentor could be viewed from the window too. Good airflow, when windows are opened. There's an option for a ceiling fan or an air conditioning unit. Towels were provided and were clean. A soap was also generously provided. The kitchen has basic amenities. Overall, it was comfortable enough given its price point because we didn't have to spend most of our time in the condo unit anyway. The receptionists were also helpful.

On my first day, I saw a dead cockroach (unsure because it wasn't moving) by the kitchen trash bag and tiny ants could be found by the main door and windows but this wasn't really bothersome. They don't get anywhere near the food but for safety, I secured food with plastics and put them on higher ground. Other than that, the studio was generally clean and hygienic. In mysterious circumstances, the ceiling fan and light turned on on its own. The digicode to the door was disabled a day close to our check-out for an unknown reason but it was resolved within an hour. While waiting for Jucemar's response, we stayed comfortably inside the Itau cinema. Overall, I still recommend staying/reserving in this condo unit.
