Mes Maisons - Two Gites with Private and Shared pools in Cévennes

L'établissement est incroyable. Identique aux photos voir mieux. On s'est tout de suite senti très a l'aise.

Het terras op het zuiden. Bedden waren goed.

De eigenaresse gaf geen uitleg , waar we alles konden vinden.Over de omgeving. Er zouden 2 zwembaden zijn, maar we moesten het delen met de andere gasten. Er waren geen horren voor de slaapkamer ramen. Parkeren was krap, bij het bovenhuis.Was eigenlijk een wandelpad wat steil naar boven liep. Moeder die met de kinderwagen er niet langs kon.

We absolutely loved our week at Mes Maisons Gardoises! Rebecca and Darren’s beautiful house has everything we needed for a great family holiday with our two children. We loved the summer kitchen, cooking and dining outdoors each evening, the disco cave is fun for a party too. We had a private pool in our garden and use of the shared pool (shared with the smaller Gites) at the side of the property which has the most incredible view! The area itself is tranquil and safe. We enjoyed our walk along the river to the Boulangerie each morning for fresh pastries. Would recommend the Ardeche canooing, we had a great day on the river navigating the mini rapids and the river swimming was fabulous. The whole area is a place of natural beauty. We ate at Auberge in Bannes, which is in a pretty square with a night market. Le Vans night market on Tuesday was also great with lots of excellent food options. Guinguette de la lecque was fully booked all week so I would recommend booking before you arrive. It’s a pretty setting on the river and clearly very popular. If you fancy a great burger and pizza, there is a pizzeria place a few mins drive from the house. Overall, a very special week in a magical house. Rebecca and Darren are lovely hosts and always available for questions, their tips and knowledge of the area were super helpful and we can’t wait to return!

Die Gastgeberin Becky ist eine äusserst hilfsbereite und kommunikative Person. Sie hat wirklich an alles gedacht – von Gewürzen über Olivenöl bis hin zu Reinigungsmitteln war alles im Haus vorhanden, was man für den Alltag braucht. Ein grosses Plus sind die zwei Pools, die für Abwechslung sorgen.

Der hintere Garten hätte etwas gepflegter sein können. Auch der private Pool war etwas kühler und nicht ganz so sauber wie andere. Abgesehen davon war alles super – wir würden gerne wiederkommen!
