Great lodge by port sydney has its own diner pretty cozy wifi dont work but overall worth

Its located right next to Port Sydney for amazing views. Looks old and shady from outside buts its interiors are finely detailed and was a cozy stay.
Also, its at isolated location and their restaurant is closed bring your food items before hand.
Definitely recommend for an escape trip

The place is newly renovated and very clean, I would recommend to families or couples. There’s even a wood burning sauna on site free for guest to use. The location is around 15 mins away from downtown Huntsville.

I love the location but this lodge, my room, needs a lot of TLC. My room - door handset jammed each time I went to lock the door. Sliding door to balcony does not lock. No water pressure at all. No chair for the office desk. Toilet seat not attached to the toilet. Paint falling off ceiling. The only available outlet was in the bathroom - seriously. Nightside light did not work. The lodge - door at end of hall left open and hallway was full of bugs. Front desk is not staffed. This is why I gave the Staff rating a 1 star. Multiple times I came down to talk about the above, but no one was around. Very strong mold smell when you first enter via the main entrance. NO dedicated parking spots for hotel guests. I stayed the week and each time I got back to the lodge I had to park across the street making it difficult to move my items from my vehicle to my room. I could go on but I think you get the picture. Are all the rooms like this? Unfortunately, I will not stay or recommend this lodge.
