Nachdem der Vermieter meiner zuerst gebuchten Unterkunft am Anreisetag nicht erreichbar war, musste ich innerhalb kürzester Zeit eine neue Unterkunft finden. Glücklicherweise konnte ich bei holiday Appartement Essen eine Ferienwohnung buchen. Innerhalb von 1 Stunde war alles erledigt. Der Vermieter wartete und übergab mir an der Wohnung den Schlüssel. Hat mir alles gezeigt und erklärt. Danke nochmal für die schnelle Hilfe. Ich kann die Unterkunft weiter empfehlen und ich komme gern wieder.

Kitchen well equipped, Clean apartment, Free Parking, Close to a Pizzeria, Reachable hosts

Please change the pillows (need to be replenished) and the mattress of the bed was not comfortable as the slatted frame in the cot was broken. Please also change the shower spray.

I had gone for a friend’s wedding that was quite close to the location of this apartment so that way it proved to be quite useful. But the experience of the stay was mixed. On one hand the hosts are quite amazing and helpful. They went out of their way to help me and come to pick me up when I couldn’t find the place. Also - the beds are super comfortable and I slept really well.

On the other hand - the place is a bit run down and needs a major clean and overhaul. The tile joints have accumulated a lot of dirt, window joints likewise - the furniture needs fresh polish (it is a bit run down) and the toilet needs to be cleaned better. It was generally clean but it really needs a complete overhaul. Time and rain are not kind to wood and tiles.
