Beautiful character filled property in a beautiful village well located for exploring the Cotswolds.
Everything was amazing apart from the parking which was very tight either two large cars. The property & location more than made up for it.

The only issue was the parking - although there is a space it was difficult to get out of if the neighbours were using their parking space because there were also pallets with building materials in the space that might have helped with reversing. on the last morning we had to reverse out down the lane which was tricky - but other people might not find this a problem and once the pallets are gone that should help

The property is located in a proper Cotswold village - old honey colored stone cottages surrounding a village green with a stream running through it, and even a pub. Best of all, it is a community and not a tourist destination, even though it is only 2 miles from Stow-on-the-Wold. Travel down a narrow lane for 1/2 mile and you emerge into a different world! The property is fitted to a very high standard, especially the kitchen and the bathrooms, and it retains all of its character features. The bedrooms are spacious. The sitting room is very comfortable with a charming atmosphere. We enjoyed the good connectivity and video options. There is no end to the outstanding footpath options that can be explored nearby and in the region!
The village is in a cellular dead spot, but that comes with the territory. If we could change one thing, it would be that the sitting room had more natural light. It would be ideal if the side wall had another bank of windows, but this is just wishful thinking. That's not the way these places were built back in the day. We had a very poor experience getting a late lunch at the local pub; the food was very overcooked and it was very expensive compared to other pub food we had on our extended holiday. Others may find a different experience.
