The location was excellent. It was very close to the Spanish Steps. It was an active area with restaurants and taxi service close by. The elevator was very convenient.

I had written to the host several times through the booking.com site prior to our arrival and did not receive responses from her. The host uses a third party to provide the door codes. We had provided the host with our arrival time several days before our arrival date. When we arrived we had not yet been provided with the codes. Our internet service was not working. I had to put my phone onto roaming from my Canadian service provider and phone booking.com who was eventually able to contact the host. Through numerous phone calls the host finally sent me the codes by text and we were able to get in. My sister and I spent close to 2 hours sitting on the doorstep with our luggage in the dark until we were able to get in. I incurred roaming charges of close to $50 CAD. There were no blankets on the bed or in the room. The host insisted they were in the closet but they were not. We had trouble getting the electrical conversion plugs to fit into the outlets. We were concerned about instructions left for us about what to do if the power went out. The host was rude in her response to our concerns. The kitchen had limited cutlery and no plug in the sink to wash dishes. We had to reset the modem several times every day as it kept going off line. We stayed for 5 days. It was okay, but a downgrade from other locations we stayed at throughout our visit to other cities in Italy. Most disappointing was that we never received an apology or offer of compensation from the host, but rather just a poor attitude.
