Kalkedon Plus

The location is just a minute's walk to so many cute independent coffee shops and unique little retail shops, and just a 5 minute walk to the waterfront/ferry port. The management working there are great! Any time you go to them with a query, they address it - immediately. The team/staff work hard too - they repeatedly clean the common areas and are always doing maintenance to improve upon what they have. In my opinion that creates great energy. And there is a kitchen for the guests to use. This is a bonus in my view. Needless to say, I will be returning when I am back in Istanbul.

Good to sleep over when staying short in Istanbul or in transit

After staying at other accommodation in Istanbul I would say that this hostel was in fact not bad. The area is also much more lived in and fairly priced if you look for less trendy places to eat and drink. I regret not staying here longer instead of Taksim.

A lot of basic things are offered as paid extras. Towels and toilet paper for example.

The location is quite close to the metro station, straight from SAW airport. There was also a big mall near the station.

The room was not in very good condition: dirty walls, poor bathrooms.
