Caravan was on a lovely clean site, close to amenities but was very tired and needs a little tlc. Was disappointed that

Did the job

The location and size of the caravan was absolutely perfect, it was budget friendly.

The level of cleanliness was so bad, the caravan was filthy and stunk, there was black mould absolutely everywhere, even on the kettle, the kitchen area was grimey and I had to clean it upon arrival, the cooker was greasy, the bathroom again had black mould and squashed flies. The crockery and utensils and appliances were all dated, dirty and a mismatch, with lots of chips. Personally I think the caravan has so much potential and could be well invested in... im so pleased we were only there for 2 night and just used it as a base. I am sure it was cleaner when we left than when we arrived.

Pleasent

The location was perfect. We had family on The Grange & it was literally a 5 minute walk to there caravan. The caravan was easy to access. It was spacious enough for us. There was 7 adults.

When we arrived there was an overwhelming smell of curry in the van. This lasted the full duration. Obviously this is not the owners fault, clearly left from who was in the caravan before. We just opened all the windows as soon as we arrived & whenever we were in the van which did help. The shower wasn't the best, ran really slow & the water ran cold a lot however we are in a caravan so accepted it wasn't going to be 5* It did the job in the end. The only thing which would have been appreciated was a dish cloth or tea towel. Wasn't excepting washing up liquid and cleaning products but I do think a wash cloth at least would have been a nice touch & a spare bin bag.

Absolutely disgusting

The location of

The fact that the caravan was clearly not well maintained and absolutely filthy. My bin at home is cleaner. When you 1st arrive at the property you are greeted with an overflowing ashtray. Then you open the door to a muddy carpet and a discussing stench. The dishes wasn't washed there is mold on the nets. All the bedding was stained and the toilet paper was yellow on one side and looked like it had been urinated on. The boiler goes out every time the wind blows. The toilet didn't flush ( however they did send a plumber to fix this) The bathroom lights don't work so if you need the toilet in the night time good luck. Quite honestly I've stayed all over the world and this was the most dirty, smelly place I've ever stopped at. I left 1 day early and booked a hotel in town! That's how bad we felt there. The pictures are not even 10% of what I have on my phone.

Not great

Communication before the stay was good. Location ok quiet site.

Caravan stunk of gas when we arrived, had to open all the windows and doors and sit outside for 5 minutes as a hob was on. The caravan wasn't clean. Before we could use the shower I had to use tissue to clean it out and use the drain cleaner to unsuccessfully unblock the drain. Full of muck and other people's hair. Cupboards hadnt been cleaned out there was a half eaten lolly in one of the wardrobes. I'm not usually one to complain about silly things but I expect cleanliness. Walls are mucky and need a good scrub. Carbon monoxide alarm wasn't working as this is something I always check. Luckily we were only staying 2 nights. Fire in the living room barely works and there's no heating in the bedrooms. Luckily we took our own quilts and bedding to wrap up. Bed sheets were dirty and stained. Wasn't impressed and would of left had we been staying longer than a couple of nights. I stay in caravans often and I've never seen beds that small. Regarding the site it's not good for older kids, Woody's bar has no amusements etc. Ok for little ones.and a bit of a walk from the main area. Wouldn't return.

Lovely Autumn Stay

The location was perfect. Facilities around the location was varied too and very close. The van was clean and had everything we needed for 3 families of 3. Handy with 2 toilets especially with 6 kids & 3 adults. The shower was very warm too.

It only had one working heater, the other one only blew cold air and didn't seem to warm up.

The caravan was clean and comfortable with t.v, books, games, buckets and spades etc provided for the kids. A big big thank you to Sarah and Andy who were fantastic from booking through to leaving. All 10 of us had a fantastic time
