Location view 1000% Just view worth to stay there. Beautiful ride on the way to the place, Everything that is needed is available, small kitchen is well equipped ( hosts care about their place and guests). Comfortable bed and relaxing sleep. Car parking is useful. Host is very attentive and pleasant in communication. The only heads up is that shower is quite small in size, so better be aware beforehand. Very recommended! Grazie mille!

The bed was very comfortable , nice big towels and extras in the bathroom such as shower gel. There was also condiments .. olive oil , salt and pepper plus water , juice and snacks .. very much appreciated . We had access to 2 terraces and the view down to Camogli was stunning

Comfortable studio with amazing views!

Small but comfortable, the place is all about the view. Roberto is very nice and helpful, secure parking for a small fee right at your door, functioning kitchen with gas cooking. Recommended to visit a supermarket before you arrive, although Roberto provides water and juice and snacks. Air conditioning is good. All around it’s great value for the price.

Nothing really, the shower is a tight squeeze but was manageable.

Great accommodation with a spectacular view

The location is perfect. It's up on the hill looking out to Camogli and the sea and so the views are breathtaking. There is a large terrace where you can sit to enjoy the sunset and the view. Although it situated in a village, it is a main interchange point for the buses from Genoa, Camogli, Rapallo etc so it was very easy to travel without a car and the bus stops and village centre are only 2 minutes walk away. There are also who bars/restaurants, a bakery, a grocery store and a pharmacy. The accommodation has everything you need and the kitchen has all the equipment you need to cook. Roberto, the owner, lives next door and was very helpful and available if you need him. He even left me a selection of food and breakfast items as well as coffee for both the machine and the moka. The bed was very comfortable for me, it was a firm mattress. The inside of the accommodation has everything you need but the best part was definitely the large terrace and amazing view. It's why I chose this accommodation and I was not disappointed.

I didn't need it as I preferred to cook my own food, but some people may like a microwave. There is a coffee machine but no kettle (maybe this is more a British thing?) so I boiled water in a pan for tea. But neither were an issue for me.

A Dream Stay at Casa Portofino – Unforgettable Experience!

From the moment we arrived at Casa Portofino, we were absolutely stunned by the breathtaking scenery awaiting us. The views are beyond anything we could have imagined – every time of day brought a new kind of beauty, and we truly cherished every minute. Our host, Roberto, was exceptionally kind and welcoming. His hospitality went far beyond our expectations. He greeted us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay, from fresh towels and coffee to breakfast essentials. He even surprised us with his homemade limoncello and some fresh lemons when we left – such a lovely touch! The apartment itself was perfect – cosy, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. The bed deserves a special mention: it was unbelievably comfortable, which was a huge plus for my back, especially since we stayed for seven nights (and still didn’t want to leave!). We enjoyed every minute, from morning coffee to sunset dinners, with the most spectacular view you can imagine. One of our highlights was buying fresh fish and preparing dinner at the apartment while watching the sunset. The location is also very convenient. Just a stone’s throw away, there’s a little shop for essentials, a trattoria with the best Mandilli al pesto we’ve ever had, and a bar right below the casa that also offers a great sunset view and food. The bus stop is just a minute away, and we used a local app to purchase tickets easily. Just note, if you're not driving, in May, the last bus was around 8 PM, and taxis were hard to find after that. But honestly, we didn’t mind at all – coming back to Casa Portofino in the evening was a treat in itself. Camogli stole our hearts. It’s so authentic and charming, and visiting in May was perfect, peaceful and not overcrowded. We can’t thank Roberto enough for making our stay so special. We highly recommend Casa Portofino and will definitely be back. It truly felt like a blessing to stay there.

Excellent communication with the host, lovely property with views over camogli - gorgeous sunset. Easy bus route down into camogli or can walk to San fruttuoso. Highly recommended!

I would not stay here again

View was very good

The owners forced us to leave before check out time which we agreed to. We were delayed by ten mins (still way within check out time limits) and the owners cut of electricity to the room!! My baby and wife are in there getting the last suitcase packed while I was loading suitcases. The owners then left in their car because they had to go somewhere. So all this hurry was because they had to leave. Even the water in the shower was not consistent and continuously went to freezing cold for a couple of seconds every minute.

This place has the most beautiful views one can imagine. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and the apartment was clean, cosy and well equipped. Safe private parking and bus running from very near by to Camogli and Santa Margherita. Warmly recommend!

Everything Amazing! Best View ever!

Wow, the view from up there is even better than the pictures, and the Golden retriever next door makes it even better. Couple who owned the property couldn’t have been more helpful, and even gave us a lift from the station as they knew the bus times had changed. Always at hand whenever we needed anything, and even the language barrier didn’t stop us finding them a pleasure to deal with. Buses were a lot easier than expected, and dropped us right next to the apartment. Terrace was a nice place for breakfast

beautiful view iIF sitting outside on small patio; pretty decor and very clean; host helped us call a cab when we got stranded in camogli one rainy night; availability to park;

Facility-wise: tiny, the shower was 25-26 inches square; kitchenette sparse; We found no wine opener, microwave or hot pot; there was an extra pillow but we couldn’t find extra cases; To open and close gated driveway, one person must get out and use key. it would be very cumbersome if alone. google maps required use of gps coordinates to find; location: if your destination is camogli or train/ferry from there, look closely at bus schedule; in September, the bus no longer ran after 8. on the schedule provided by host, there was an N over the evening times with a footnote at the bottom which explained this but we failed to realize we needed to translate the footnote and were stranded in town. not one single cab driver in town would come after 8 pm on a Saturday night. we attempted the very dangerous walk home but google maps guided us through a path that was locked near the end ( we have reported for Correction). We regret not staying in Camogli! obviously most guests have loved this facility. it was not for us and thought others should know why but it may be perfect for others

Best sunset view ever

Paola and Roberto welcomed us like family members, and made sure our stay was as comfortable as it can get. The place is perfect for two, very clean and comfortable. It is actually much better than it looks in the photos. We stayed only two nights but wished we could stay longer. The sunset over the fantastic view from the terrace is highly recommended. We managed to transport around easily without a car, using the buses from the stop just 1 minute away. Grazie mille and hope to come back again!

Great self contained unit

Nice room in its own building detached from the main property. Completely self contained with a kitchen area as well. Great views from the terrace and friendly hosts. The only downside is that it is a 40 min walk up a very steep hill / stairs from town. There is a bus, however, it only runs hourly and stops early evening. I was on a hiking holiday so didn't mind but something to consider.

Wunderbare Aussicht auf das Meer, freundliche Besitzer und Kommunikation, eine gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung. Man kann sich sehr wohl fühlen. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Nydelig sted med hyggelige eiere.

Koselig leilighet med god seng og nydelig utsikt. Lite støy. Like ved var det butikk og restaurant. Busstopp rett nedenfor leiligheten. Vi tok buss til Camogli,Recco og Rapallo. Rett ved bussholdeplassen går det trapper ned til Camogli. Tar ca 25-30 min å gå ned til Camogli. Skal du gå opp til leiligheten fra Camogli,så starter stien med trappene rett forbi togstasjonen. Turen fra Casa Portofino til Rocca er også fin og enkel å gå.

Vi mislikte ingenting. Vil bare nevne at vi reiste i midten av september og det gikk da færre busser fra Camogli og de sluttet å gå tidlig på kvelden. Hvis du ikke vil gå trapper i 30 min ( vi gikk de fleste kveldene) kan du ta taxi for ca 18-20 Euro.

Mooie plek voor verblijf aan de ligurische kust

Het studioappartement is ligt in Ruta di Camogli dit is een stukje boven Camogli, je hebt er een waanzinnig mooi uitzicht vanaf je terras (2x) vlakbij ligt een kleine supermarkt en bakker heel gemakkelijk met ontbijten. omdat parkeren in Camogli lastig is zijn we telkens met bus gegaan, bushalte ook op kleine afstand, super gemakkelijk bus stopt bij treinstation vandaar ook naar Cinque Terre etc. Roberto doet er alles aan om je verblijf aangenaam te maken.Parkeren op het terrein tegen kleine vergoeding.

Het bed was nogal hard, en zeer smalle douchecabine.

Der Aufenthalt war alles in allem perfekt.

Die Lage war perfekt für einen Aufenthalt an der ligurischen Küste. Durch den Gastgeber haben wir erfahren, dass wir auch mit dem Bus leicht in die Orte am Meer gelangen konnte. Der Gastgeber hat auf uns gewartet und wir haben ihm im Vorraus die Ankunftszeit mitgeteilt. Generell war die Schlüsselüber- und abgabe sehr unkompliziert.

De ligging was heel goed. Met bus, trein en boot waren de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden vlot te bereiken. Onze auto is niet van de parking geweest. Prachtig uitzicht op je privé terras. Heel vriendelijke gastheer. Het huisje had alles wat het moest hebben.

Wunderschönes Apartment mit atemberaubender Lage

Diese Wohnung hat eine atemberaubende Lage mit eine wunderschönen Aussicht über die ganze Bucht. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Wohnung sehr sauber und hat alles was man so braucht. In der Nähe ist eine Bushaltestelle mit der man bequem die umliegenden Orte und die Küste erreichen kann. Ich hatte eine wunderschöne Zeit und kann dieses Erlebnis jeden empfehlen.

Accueil très sympathique du propriétaire du lieu Studio très agréable avec terrasse donnant un point de vue merveilleux sur le golfe, la ville, la plage. Équipement parfait : literie, salle de bains wc, coin cuisine, coin repas et une belle terrasse. Studio au cœur de la ville. Très appréciable.
