The inside of the facility was much nicer than it appears from outside. The neighborhood is a little older and not necessarily well kept.
We were traveling overnight to connect with a cruise at the Port of Miami. We arrived quite late, around 11 p.m. and we had requested to checkout at noon instead of 11 a.m. so we could travel directly to the port as we were carrying all our luggage.
The person that was responding to my texts was not at all helpful. Stated that any late checkout would be approved last minute, if at all and a $35 per hour charge would apply. I explained that we notified them of our late check in time (7 hours late) so they could adjust their cleaning schedule. The person said that none of that mattered an “it’s hotel policy” and we did not get any consideration for our request.
Overall, I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR OVERNIGHT TRAVELERS. Dragging luggage up two flights of stairs and no consideration for travel adjustments made this a definite NEVER AGAIN for us. That’s our experience and my professional opinion as a frequent traveler. We will be visiting Miami again in just a few months and will stay elsewhere.
