Lovely pool area, quiet location, but the bathroom needs some love.

Great location, loved the pool area and view, bed was comfy.

My bathroom felt a bit run down and probably needs a wee refurb.

It's okay.

The pool was nice and receptionist was okay,he didn't know much English but could communicate while also provided us new towels and rolls.

The toilet seat was broken and moved everywhere also no shampoo or soap.There was ants in our room around celling and floors.Ac didn't cool the room enough.

When we first arrived to Bali, the host had amazing communication from the very beginning, even arranging for airport pickup! After that the staff were so friendly and were very helpful. The location is also great with many Gojek and grab drivers around and the location is near main areas. Amenities was also very clean!

Peaceful accommodation in a quiet location

My room was clean and comfortable. The sunset view from the pool is great and there is plenty of parking for scooters. Ancala is situated in a quiet and peaceful part of Uluwatu.

It’s a bit far to walk to restaurants but if you have a scooter it’s not a problem.

Lovely pool, great value

Ancala was a wonderful place to stay. Comfy beds and big rooms. Beautiful pool and lounge area surrounded by butterflies and flowers made me so happy. Each room has a balcony where you can sit outside and enjoy the partial ocean view. Bathroom was ok, toiletries provided. Everything is clean but there will be small ants because we are in nature. Truly peaceful and relaxing, great value for money.

Such a lovely place to stay

This was such a lovely place to stay. All the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. They made me feel really welcome. The room I stayed in was well equipped, clean and tidy, and the bed was really comfortable. The location is great - tucked away, yet close enough by scooter to all the beaches popular tourist spots. The pool is an added bonus, a lovely tranquil place to chill.

Amazing value for money, beautiful sunsets

Wow, where should I start? The room was actually really nice and they even had a tv with Netflix on there which was a proper luxury treat. Bed was really comfortable and aircon was not too close to the bed either. Bathroom was small but the water pressure and temperature were great. We once had an issue with the sink and the staff fixed it immediately. Really trustworthy amazing, outgoing staff and everyone so friendly. Pool was really clean and great temperature and the sunset views were out of this world. They had great deck chairs too. They put some really cute flower decorations as part of our honeymoon for us and provided us with some really sweet snacks. The hospitality was out of this world. Location was walking distance to some local warungs and supermarkets however in a really quiet area, so just be aware. Very easy to get taxis from there though.

The sink was not too user-friendly and very low and narrow. It would be great if you could provide additional deck chairs for other people to relax on and some sum umbrellas too. Unfortunately we had quite the big ant problem on the balcony and initially the staff sprayed some stuff onto the ants nest which initially helped however we had a reoccurring ant problem inside our room which was a bit frustrating and there was nothing we could do about it. Also there was a lizard in our room for days which was a bit scary but that's just the nature of an accommodation like this. Overall would highly recommend though.

Great property, helpful staff, amazing stay!

The staff were really friendly and even the neighbours. We arrived late at the property and didn’t know where to go for dinner on the first night so the neighbour, who is the cousin of the owner and his wife, drove us to a lovely restaurant by the beach to enjoy an amazing dinner. Everything was kept clean and looking beautiful.

Peaceful little spot in a gorgeous location

I loved this place. The staff were super friendly, and the room was small but comfortable and best of all you can see the ocean from your bed! The views from the property were stunning, and I really enjoyed the quiet location that was still walkable to a few essentials (and you can walk down to the temple). The A/C worked great and the wifi speed was in the 20s. It felt like a peaceful and happy place.

The only thing that really comes to mind is that my room could have used a deep cleaning. The basics were clean (sheets, walking surfaces) but there was a giant cobweb near the ceiling, lots of dust under the bed, and plenty of mildew in the bathroom that a little bleach could make quick work of.

The place was totally worth it. Clean, close to the Uluwatu Temple and popular beaches. It's in a quiet area and ypu can enjoy the pool with a view. You can even rent a motorbike for 100k IDR per day directly from the property - which is recommended.

There are a small number of steps to access the property so try and travel light. But it's no big deal as Eddie was super helpful with carrying our luggage up to our room!

A good stay with a perfect view

The location is amazing and the view is really worth staying here. The staff is also very very nice!! They help you with everything you need and they are very friendly. The wifi worked fast and the bed was very comfortable. The location is 10/10, very close to everything in uluwatu but in a quiet area at the same time. We would come back!

We enjoyed our stay, however there are things that could be better: the sink is very small, the tiles in the bathroom are very slippery, i fell 2 times in the shower. On the terrace there is no protection from rain, so if it rains, everything you have put outside to dry gets wet. With small changes, this place could be a lot more comfortable.

Beautiful view at the ocean, quiet and remote place, pool is working all day long so you can get refreshment under the stars after long and hot day spent on the beach, stuff is friendly and helpful. TV has youtube, wifi is good.

First night there was a spider under the blanket and geckos crawed on the wall of reception, but it is a nature (did like geckos, but didn't like a spider on me during the night 😀). It is about 10 minutes to walk to the main street, there was not enough lighting on the way to/from hotel, can easily get some adrenaline when dog is barking on you in the darkness when you try to get back to hotel. So if you have experience driving a bike, better to get one. And yes, pillow was a bit uncomfortable.

I liked that the photos of the villa fit perfectly with what it is. They also focus a lot on small details such as leaving small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste. The villa has spectacular views, the room is always clean. The hotel staff is charming.

The size of the room is small, but for a few days it is perfect.
