The place is clean and the kitchen has lots of utensils, plates etc.
The Property managers are very responsive even after hours.
The first issue is how uncomfortable the line of questioning from the property managers made me feel. After sending in my passport (that says I'm born in Newcastle), I received a message saying, "we notice from your IP the booking is from the area. May we request the reason. " This was a complete invasion of privacy, and I don't think booking.com shares IP addresses, so I assume they got this from my passport. I couldn't be bothered, so I told them I had recently emigrated back from overseas, and my flat wasn't available yet. They then asked for proof of this. I had already paid in full, signed a rental contract, provided my passport & paid a £150 credit card damage deposit. I sent them my flight as I didn't have time to argue about this as it was the night before check-in.
The second issue was the area. It's an extremely rough area with drug addicts walking around, and there was a loud police raid in the house opposite, which ended in a police chase and numerous police vans and cars on the street.
The third issue is that I banged my head numerous times in this place. It's really near on impossible not to do this when the furnishings and cupboards are underneath the dips in the ceiling due to it being a loft spac. I understand they are trying to use all the space available, but I view this as quite dangerous. I am only 5ft 2 and still had issues. If you stand up off the sofa or sit up in bed, you will bang your head
When I contacted the property about these issues, they provided no resolution and stated they were all external factors.

The apartment was perfect for a weekend away, we loved the design and unique style
At first we was unsure about the area but once we arrived at the apartment we was pleasantly surprised

lovely decorations and facilities well looked after
really cosy and homely
felt clean and smelled nice
apartment complex also felt safe and secure
there was a sofa bed that I wanted to use but unfortunately couldn’t be used as they did not provide bedding
also the location felt a bit unsafe at night as a solo traveller and i underestimated the walk from centre

The character of the place. It was very homely and comfortable! An attic conversion with a open kitchen/lounge, Double bed and a bathroom. Excellent connection to the internet. Mobile reception on 3 mobile is slightly low, but the internet connection makes up for that.
Kithcen boasts an Oven, cooker, toaster, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, kettle ... Iron also provided and a hairdryer (not needed for my short hair) :)
I was able to resolve a booking issue also through booking.com and with the help of the people at pass the property.
Thanks to everyone that made my stay warm and stress free.
Best wishes,
Hari

The apartment is nicely furnished and has all the important stuff for a self-catered stay. Although the apartment is quite tiny the ground plan is beneficial due to the separate bedroom. I stayed on my own and I would recommend only staying with two people if you are close to the other person. It is just a 10 minute walk to Newcastle Central Station where you can find a supermarket and a 20 minute walk to Monument which is located in the city centre. There is even a bus station nearby if you have a lot of baggage and don't want to walk up the hill.
Unfortunately, I had some major problems with my booking. After I got several confirmation emails I didn't receive the pin code for the key box. When I arrived I called the property and asked for the right code. They told me that I didn't pay the deposit and therefore didn't get the final confirmation email with all information. I was very confused because on the web it says that they will book the deposit automatically from your credit card 7 days before your arrival. On the phone they told me that I had to pay it via bank transfer but I never received any payment details about this either. In the end I was waiting for more than two hours outside of the apartment with two large suitcases and crashed in a hotel nearby because of the cold (January) and the fact that I didn't have any wifi to organize the bank transfer from outside the apartment. Finally they managed to send me the payment details and I received the pin code so that I could check in on the next morning. So if you don't get any further information after your booking confirmation I would recommend you getting in touch with the property before your arrival to avoid situations like mine.
