A lovely cottage to come home to at the end of a day of touring.

The Barley Store was a beautiful cosy cottage. Simon and Belinda have thought of everything - fresh eggs and snacks, comfortable warm bed, well decked out kitchen , heating system , a quiet and peaceful location. A great base to see some of the highlights of the Antrim Coast.

Beautiful cottage, situated in a fantastic location.

Fresh eggs and milk are supplied for a quick, easy breakfast. We drove about 5 minutes away to Creative Garden Centre to enjoy a full Ulster fry. Second time we stayed here and we will stay again. The host is very helpful and friendly. The cottage is beautiful inside, everything you need for a lovely, relaxing break. The bed is super comfy, also. Location is great, ten to fifteen-minute walk into the centre of Bushmills.

Exceptional!

Another wonderful stay at Simon & Belinda's - perfect in everyway! Barley Cottage at Walkmill Farm is a true home from home in such a beautiful peaceful location. Its so lovely sitting on the outside balcony listening to the River Bush flowing past, whilst enjoying your morning coffee with Dennis & Minnie. It's walking distance from Bushmills & Portballintrae with all the amenities you need. Simon & Belinda are perfect hosts & have thought of everything in the cottage to make your stay as cosy & comfortable as possible. Our favourite place to stay on the North Coast & we will definitely be back again soon. Many thanks!

Extremely Disappointed paid good money for sub standard accommodation.

To be honest nothing see below !

The cottage photos online are roughly twenty years old and don't reflect what you find, all the soft furnishings require updating, the cottage also requires a deep clean and not just a tidy before a guest arrives. The outside area to the side and back is so full of rust and dirt you would not use it ! In summary the accommodation was not upto standard, all points were raised with the owner upon his return from holiday the same hour as our departure ! That was the first time we seen him ! Extremely disappointed , would not recommend.

Gorgeous Northern Irish property with private river walk and comfortable accommodations.

The property was so beautiful and charming. We loved the history and being able to walk and explore the property and the river. It was in a great location offering privacy but only a ten minute walk to downtown Bushmills.

Perfect North Coast Getaway!

The apartment was so lovely, spacious, bright, very tastefully decorated and felt so homely including a wood burning stove. It was very well equipped with extra special touches such as fresh milk, eggs and flowers on arrival and coffee pods too! The property also had outdoor areas where you could eat or relax. Great place to stay in a peaceful area just 10 mins walk to Bushmills. We would definitely recommend.

We loved the property and would stay again. Only small issue was there is a river behind the property and only at night, I could hear the noise from the flow of the water. I’m sure most people wouldn’t even notice it, but if you have sensitive hearing then perhaps pack some earplugs and all will be grand.

Peaceful location but still within very easy walking distance to the shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. in Bushmills. Little extra touches, like the fresh flowers, treats, and eggs, were a lovely surprise.

Nice cosy little cottage very near to Bushmills (about 10 mins walk) and easy drive to the coast. Lots of coastal walk in the area and beautiful beaches - also a good spot to relax. Friendly host. Would stay again.

We made the most of our stay but we could have been given a better welcome and made more comfortable.

Comfortable bed and private location near Bushmills where there was plenty of cafes and a few shops.

We didn’t see owner on day of arrival., and next day seen him for only a brief time. The facilities were basic and there were some minor repairs which hadn’t been taken care of. We couldn’t turn on heating so we were cold at times.

Great stay in the north of Ireland!

It's a perfect stay to browse around giant causeway. It's very calm and cosy, plenty of space and full of small things that doesn't make it look like a "bland airbnb". The decoration is made with taste and there's coffee, chocolate, fresh eggs... Etc.

The accommodation was exactly as pictured on the website, with no nasty surprises. Tastefully decorated and charming.

We were disappointed to arrive to a very cold house. We stayed in winter as snow was thawing and I had expected the heating to be on for us arriving. It was over an hour before we could take our coats, scarves and gloves off. Not sure why the heating wasn't put on as I had given our estimated arrival time.
