Perfect!

This was perfect for a nights stay whilst exploring the area for the weekend. It was like a hotel come hostel - Bathroom and kitchen were shared areas, but both were modern and smart with all amenities. Our bedroom was very comfortable, clean, and felt more like a hotel. There were towels and a hairdryer to use. It was clear the place has been very well thought out and as much has been done as possible to make the place comfortable and sound proof. It is of course still a traditional wooden building, so you could hear other guests in the night chatting but eventually I slept and I woke up only to the sound of cow bells. I would happily stay there again. I believe we briefly met the male owner too and he seemed very friendly. We were able to park right outside the accommodation. Thank you for a great stay.

Great stop in a quiet area

The on-line/automatic check-in was really convenient. We were thankful for the opportunity to arrive early since the weather was a bit stormy/rainy and we were travelling by bike, and the owners were very flexible and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom with shower was impressively nice.

We had a very comfortable stay. Check-in was super easy, our host Lucie was very sweet and helpful. It was neat and clean place , had everything as shown on the web page. Ample parking was available right in front of the building.

I'd 100% go back!

I really enjoyed my stay. The location is great close to Grindelwald and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The staff were incredibly kind; we arrived very late, and they still welcomed us warmly for check-in. The bedroom was fully equipped with a kitchen, and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. A comfortable and pleasant experience overall.

There was a kitchen and small sitting area for everyone with a balcon. There is huge parking lot available.

Private bathroom was located on the hallway outside of our room and I am not sure how much private actually was.

The owner was helpful but bit harsh.

Since we checked in by 10pm, the owner told us to walk around (just going to kitchen/washroom) slowly as the wooden floors make noise, but what can we do. We where moving with minimum sound. But the way informed was not okay. The upper kitchen was less equipped than the lower kitchen. I hope it will be taken care off. 👍

Good for short stay.

Modern interior of the chalet dated 1640 being renovated with sufficient facilities and good taste for short stay.

The outside facades of the old hotel are not yet being renovated and therefore looks run down and not welcoming indeed and the surrounding private garden are not being kept tidy. First impression not good. But if you just want to sleep and don't care about the outside surrounding no problem!

Awesome overnight stop en route to Geneva.

A delight to stay in a small hamlet. The chalet is being renovated to a very high standard too. The room was beautiful, fitted out to a very high standard. We enjoyed our chat with the host and his tour of the chalet discussing its history. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant, helpful and friendly staff. Perfect looking and well equipped room. We had a wonderful rest here. I think that there are huge possibilities of space for celebrations as well.

Maybe a pretty low ceiling for someone, but it just made us laugh and we loved it. Everything was perfect.

Nice place with an easy-going alternative feel

The place has been nicely renovated. The beds were very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and accomodating (brought us a fan without having requested it, no issues with an early check-in). The breakfast, while being pre-packaged, was very good (excellent croissant, bread and homemade jam) and generous portions.

The studio we selected gave directly on the main road so the traffic was loud until fairly late, and starting very early in the morning. Stayed during the hottest days of July and the sun shines in the room in the afternoon (no shutters or blinds to help prevent overheating), so it was hot in the room (and had to sleep with open windows despite traffic). I suggest requesting a room at the back of the house where it will be a lot quieter.

Einfaches Check-in. Alles was man braucht, für kurze Übernachtung.

Es ist sehr ringhörig. Für mich war es unangenehm, da unser Kind sehr früh wach ist und wir wahrscheinlich alle geweckt haben. Das Zimmer, Bad, Küche sind schön gemacht. Schade braucht es so viele Teppiche. Aber das ist eben wohl wegen der Ringhörigkeit, um den Schall zu dämpfen.

Dat het op de weg lag en we gelijk door konden rijden

Van buiten heel slecht zichtbaar , plus het feit dat je naar iemand moest zoeken om in te checken . De kamer zelf was schoon , maar moesten badkamer delen en voor de rest zag het er verwaarloosd uit . Echt heel slecht
