Never again - Not so happy Kaunas - Horrible Host

Location

The accommodation was advertised as having a proper bed; however, it actually had a sofa bed, which was very uncomfortable. The pictures provided on booking do not show the bed properly or what type of bed it is. When I raised this issue with the owner, he stated that he wanted to help but did not offer any practical solution. Instead, he repeatedly insisted that the accommodation had a “proper 2 m bed,” without acknowledging or attempting to understand the actual concern. Initially, I thought the issue might be due to language or communication difficulties, so I offered to speak by phone and shared my number. He did not call me back, and when I tried to call him, there was no response. Later, he made comments such as, “No matter what I do, the feedback will be bad. But maybe the problem is not the bed…”, which came across as unnecessary and personal rather than professional. In addition, the bed covers were unhygienic and visibly dirty. When I informed him of this, he appeared to suggest that I was making the issue up, rather than addressing the concern. Overall, the experience was disappointing—not only because the accommodation did not match the description, but also due to the lack of effective communication and professionalism in handling legitimate concerns. I am surprised that some of the reviews say that the place is clean, I found it to the contrary. I do not want to speculate but it may be that some reviews are either paid or made up. I have added pictures from the accommodation for future travelers to have a proper view of the place.

Cozy apartment near the city center

Very nice apartment with private parking located near the center of Kaunas. It was a nice place to stay for a day/night, the apartment is cozy and has everything you need.

Great location, decent stay, but could have been better.

Location was great, with old town to the west and the main pedestrian street to the east. Despite the fact that it's next to a busy road, isolation and sound proofing was very sufficient. Having free parking available came in handy. The apartment was very clean, and looked quite good. The shower was good, and the water didn't take long to get warm. And upon arrival there were some bottles of water and snacks provided by the host.

The advert clearly mentioned and showed photos of a bed and separate couch. But upon arrival I only had the couch unfolded as a sleeping couch. And even for a sleeping couch it wasn't comfortable. Another issue was that there wasn't a sink in the bathroom. So I had to walk back and forth to the kitchen sink, which in turn didn't have a mirror (obviously).

Lots to like but two significant drawbacks

It felt more like staying in someone's apartment than a holiday let - well equipped and lots of stuff and plants. Clean. Great location, both for public transport and walking around Kaunas. It was a noisy location but when the windows were closed the soundproofing was good. The sofa bed was more comfortable than I expected. We enjoyed watching the fish. Umbrellas!

There was no washbasin, either in the WC or the bathroom. The only place to wash hands and brush teeth was the kitchen sink and this did not feel hygienic. The balcony is not usable. It has no furniture, just 2 A/C units, but in any case the noise of the road would have meant it was not enjoyable to sit there. This was very disappointing as having some outside space is important to me on holiday.

Great value space, location and WiFi. Easy check in and out process. Allowed me an early check in and late check out.

For a 9 night stay, I did not have any cleaning products to maintain cleanliness. I had to ask for a change of towels and the host argued that it was unnecessary for them to confirm at what time they would be arriving to do so. I was recovering from surgery and didn't want to be disturbed with no notice but was met with little understanding. There was limited equipment for cooking.

very bad comu ikaton with booking and accomodation!!!

i paid and i didnt got the invoice for my company. i wrote to booking, but no answer, they didnt do anything, i wrote to accomodation, but no invoice. Dont reserv this accomodation for company, they didnt send invoice for payment, and you have then big problem.

Fanstastic place for sightseeing in Kaunas

Perfect localization very close to the Old Town and just outside the main pedestrian street. Very friendly and helpful owner. Eaisily accesible private parking. Clean appartment with comfortable bed. Nice and warm despite below zero temperatures at night. Even though it's just outside a noisy street the windows are new and nicely sound proof.

Our 2nd pre-flight stay. Best private accomodation in Kaunas for couple with kiddo or 2 friends. Has all the amenities one can need, proximity of old town and shuttle bus stop to airport.

It was great

Everything was great. On the way to apartment we met a owner, he was super friendly, perfectly explained how everything works. Apartment was great, comfy and nice. Bed was pretty good, after all it was a sofa bed but comfortable, just didn't liked two blankets. Bathroom clean. Overall great experience.

Clear and detailed check-in instructions, fully equipped kitchen. and clean fridge. Fluffy and nice smelling towels. Blinds in windows to shield from street lights at night. Amenities like shower gel and iron. Variety of lights to set the mood. Very caring and helpful host. Will stay again.
