Ali Bey Konagi

The Ali Bey Konaği exceeded my expectations. My room was comfortable and quiet, in spite of being at street level. Hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance to everything you'd want to see in Gaziantep. Felt very welcome upon arrival, and the breakfast spread was delicious. Even though we did not really share a language (I have minimal Turkish), I was immediately made to feel like more than a guest. Highly recommend this excellent hotel!

One quirk of my room was the low ceiling in the doorway - whacked my head twice. Not really a fault of the hotel, just of my forgetting to duck!

I stayed here for one week. A very centrally located hotel in the old part of Gaziantep. An easy walk to all the notable places in the neighborhood. The staff were very friendly and helpful my entire stay. I enjoyed the courtyard area whenever I had time. The breakfast was delicious every morning.

Not much. The free wifi was spotty from time to time in my room. And just an FYI - you will be need to be let in at the front gate whenever you arrive/come back to the hotel. There is a doorbell and someone comes to open the gate. Never had to wait too long, even late at night.

The courtyard and location are beautiful. The breakfast is also really special with items offered that I have not found in another Gaziantep hotel. I would recommend just to enjoy the courtyard and breakfast.

The staff were a bit cold and not as warm or engaging. One staff member was quite personable. For a high rated hotel, the bed sheets could be a bit more on-par. They were multi-colored, multi-designed that seemed for personal home use. Simple white sheets could really make the hotel rooms stand out to match the rest of the atmosphere.
