Title: Clean, Comfortable Stay — Especially Ideal for Golf Enthusiasts! ⛳ My wife and I stayed at The Sands in Torquay during our Great Ocean Road adventure, and overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable experience! The hotel was very clean and well-maintained, which we really appreciated. There were also plenty of parking spaces available, making it particularly convenient for travelers arriving by car. One thing worth mentioning, though, is that the property seems to be more geared towards golf enthusiasts rather than travelers like us who are exploring the Great Ocean Road. 😆 As we were mainly visiting Torquay as part of our coastal road trip, we felt that the hotel's overall atmosphere and facilities were perhaps better suited to guests looking for a relaxing golfing getaway. That being said, this is certainly not a complaint! It's simply something worth considering depending on the purpose of your visit. Overall, we had a lovely stay. The rooms were clean, parking was convenient, and the hotel provided us with a comfortable place to rest during our journey. Would definitely recommend The Sands to golf lovers, and it's still a perfectly good option for Great Ocean Road travelers who prioritize cleanliness, comfort, and convenient parking!

The views were perfect. You can relax on the balcony or take a short walk to the beach. If you wanted some exercise then take a walk to the esplanade shops or if you weren’t feeling energetic then it’s only a 5 minute drive along the beach. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants some peace and quiet. Restaurant add facilities were very good too.

The rooms are nicely designed and decorated but not very clean. There was a lot of dust build up on sockets and skirting, hair in bathroom and dirty shower screen, the pullys for the blinds were sticky, two of the lamps were broken. Just a bit run down and probably not worth it for the price unless you're mad into golf
