    We booked three standard rooms at Hotel Shaanti Inn and were immediately disappointed. The rooms looked nothing like the photos — cramped to the point where you could barely walk around the bed, with peeling wallpaper that made the space feel even more neglected. The bathroom situation was a nightmare. A constantly leaking toilet, a dripping sink faucet, and a wet bathroom floor that never dried — not exactly the relaxing stay you hope for after a long day of exploring Varanasi. The AC remote did not work on the first night, and it took multiple complaints before staff finally replaced it. Breakfast is included, but I would strongly advise skipping it. The kitchen was in a condition that I can only describe as deeply concerning — not something you want anywhere near your food. To top it all off, the staff were found sleeping at the reception desk and on hallway benches. When we politely requested better rooms and offered to pay the difference, we were told all other rooms were booked — which felt far from truthful. The only saving grace? The location is genuinely excellent for Varanasi sightseeing. My advice — if you must stay here, insist on seeing actual room photos before booking and never, under any circumstances, book a standard room.

    Location is nice near ghat but room sizes were small as per charges. So my suggestion for all to either deluxe or bigger for stay. Bathroom facility and space could have been better. cleanliness and staff service were average.
