The “hot” breakfast was always cold but we later learned we could order to be cooked fresh

The hotel is lovely. The rooms are lovely. The staff are pleasant. The location is peaceful. They are nice to dogs.
The food was of high quality but portions are far too small and my wife's food was not really warm. The food prices are very high and I was left expecting more. Worse was the total lack of hot water for me and my family at 7am. I understand that mistakes can be made but all I got was a "sorry" at reception. Some recognition of the inconvenience, financial or otherwise, would have been appropriate at a "5-star" hotel.
