The apartment is nicely decorated, spick and span, and the owner, Rosie, is really sweet. We enjoyed the big, delicious breakfast which was included. We also had a nice meal in their trattoria. The bed is comfortable and the shower has all the jets.
We would rate this property a 10, but we were disappointed with lack of arrival instructions. They told us to meet at the trattoria for checkin. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the place was swamped with customers, so we waited outside for 40 minutes after the scheduled time. Meanwhile, we were unsure where to park the car and we continued to recharge the hourly parking fee, waiting for guest parking instructions. Neither of these issues is particularly serious, but we felt frustrated at that time. That said, we would surely stay again.

Ghost interaction needs improvement
1 a 1 hghoyr delay in getting key while waiting in rain.
2 could have informed us that everything closed until 7 pm. We could have eaten before arriving town at2 pm

It is a very comfortable, clean and fairly spacious apartment, suitable for a multi day stay, for instance for a couple that intended to hike some of the many trails in the district. It directly on one of the main routes though Castelmezzano. It is an uphill walk on cobbled streets of maybe 300m from the hosts private car park, but it isn’t that steep and there are no staircases. The breakfast provided was adequate, but not great.
The property was great but we had an unfortunate incident. Overnight our car was hit by another car, which the owner told us, was driven by one of his children. He promised to phone our rental car company and provide his insurance information, but when we returned the rental car several days later it did not seem that this had happened, so we have been left to deal with the fallout.
