Stay Mikado was quite a stay! Beautiful atol with beautiful island Thimarafushi. The personel was very helpful in everything. The trips were fantastic.

Organizzazione top. Ameen che gestisce l’hotel di suo zio, si è sempre impegnato al massimo di risolvere qualsiasi problema già prima del arrivo. e si impegna davvero tanto per trovare una soluzione a tutto. Risponde sempre al telefono/what’s app. L’hotel è piccolo e familiare, si mangia bene e camera bella e letto molto comodo. I servizi e le pulizie sono sempre stati top, come anche il personale e lo staff .
La spiaggia (praticamente cè una ed è unica, era piena di’ mosquitos tutto il soggiorno, era impossibile starci. E c’era una gru sulla spiaggia che lavorava, quindi mentre uno vorrebbe leggersi un libro o semplicemente dormire.impossibile starci. Ero incredula!
La isola sarebbe anche bella, ma piena di spazzatura. Non si pulisce niente. Ovunque mondizia . Poi i locals molto antipatici e non amano il turista! Ero sdraiata su una panchina al sole per pochi minuti con una gonna a vita alta ed un top chiuso, coperto che si vedeva solo centimetri di pancia hanno già chiamato la polizia! Credo che l’isola non vuole i turisti e si sente molto ovunque che non siamo benvenuti. Io non mi sono sentita a mio agio fuori dal hotel.
Poi non stop in giro con sti motorini che l’isola realmente piccola! Noi cerchiamo di andare in bio camminare e loro per rovinarci l’aria buona con una idiozia del genere….per 20 metri con il motorino in giro. Ed è pieno a da molto fastidio. Se erano per lo meno elettriche….!
Non c’è assolutamente niente sul isola, praticamente tre piccoli negozi ma molto molto limitati. Non c’è alcol, neanche da comprare. Niente. Nemmeno una birra. Zero. E unico posto da mangiare è al hotel. Poi attenzione con il arrivo! Importante informarsi prima e contattare la struttura e chiedere quando ci sono i voli domestici, che sono solo due volte a settimana. Sconsiglio di usare speedboat 4 ore!
E attenzione nel periodo di Ramadan. Non si può mangiare o bere fuori…è altamente sconsigliabile di andare in quel periodo. È una isola molto tradizionale, non come le altre dov’è ci sono i resort. Durante il periodo di Ramadan manca anche lo staff quindi meno uscite/gite etc.!

Et helt utrolig sted – anbefales varmt. Vi følte oss oppriktig velkomne fra første stund, og alt kjentes personlig og gjennomført. Maten var skikkelig bra (spesielt den indiske!), personalet var varme og hjelpsomme, og utfluktene var både fine og godt organisert. Snorklingen og fridykkinga var også helt rå, med topp service hele veien.
Dette er en lokal øy, så man følger lokale regler – men for oss gjorde det bare opplevelsen mer ekte og spennende. Og en ekstra shoutout til både Ameen og Rauff Mohamed! Gode mennesker. Vi drar herfra med masse gode minner og opplevelser.

Schone kamers, behulpzaam personeel en leuke activeiten. Vanaf het moment dat je aankomt staat het team voor je klaar. Er zit een goed restaurant voor het verblijf en het personeel rijdt met buggy’s rond om je bijvoorbeeld naar het strand of het watersportcentrum te brengen. Activiteiten zoals snorkelen en duiken zijn goed geregeld en het team is zeer flexibel om het voor iedereen naar hun zin te maken. Als solo reiziger heb ik me geen moment alleen gevoeld. Perfecte plek voor een meer authentieke ervaring op een lokaal eiland op de Malediven. Voor herhaling vatbaar!
Je bent bij de organisatie van activiteiten ook afhankelijk van wat de andere gasten wensen te doen. Het team probeert daarentegen alles om aan je wensen te kunnen voldoen.
