Capistrano Playa 403 Casasol

We chose this apartment to have two full bedrooms, plenty of space and a large terrace. All of these were as expected, clean and comfortable. The terrace is fantastic, although we weren’t there long enough to take advantage of the barbecue provided, but it would be great to use for a longer visit. On the way there, we were slightly delayed by road closures but the staff were super helpful and patient (as we messaged then re-messaged to tell them of our delays), and once we did arrive we were met with a friendly warmth which made us feel at home. Although not cheap, for a two-bedroom apartment with big terrace I’d say this is reasonable value for money.

The sliding doors to the terrace did not lock (looked like misalignment of the lock on the frame), which was disappointing as it should be easy to fix. There are some dark damp patches on the bathroom ceiling, seemingly coming from the apartment above. This didn’t affect us at all, but needs attention soon so as not develop mould.

Don't normally leave reviews, but felt I should do one on our recent stay in Capistrano Playa that may help others. I didn't do proper research before booking. The complex is on a hill and its steep walking up and down. There is a beautiful private walk down to Burriana beach - 120 steps down. Going down is ok but coming back up is tough. The apartment itself was lovely, it had fabulous views and a big terrace but it was very old and definitely in need of a refurb. The sofa is badly stained which is covered up with throws. I didn't feel I was staying in a clean apartment🙈. The second bedroom has no window and is very dark. If you love the sun like me this apartment only has sun on the terrace until 4pm which was so disappointing. It wasn't a good choice for us as we had our 1 year old grandson with us and there were too many steps in and around the complex which was tough. It was our 1st time in Nerja, although Burriana beach is beautiful I think I would stay in centre of Nerja next time.
