Everything exceeded expectations, great experience

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The front desk was bilingual, incredible warm and friendly, and very thorough and professional. All staff around property were kind and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and again the staff were great. Pool was very enjoyable and everything was comfortable and clean. We were pleasantly surprised. Would stay again and would recommend

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Great location easy parking. Breakfast was very good lots of fruit eggs etc . Long line up when busy on the weekend. Room was a good size

Hot water was not so hot. Nothing in the kitchen for utensils. Fridge and microwave were fine. A bit tricky to find first time on the roads but after that all good.

An exceptional stay at a very reasonable price - highly recommended!

The daily breakfast was exceptional and varied regularly, with several options available. The hotel was very quiet and within short walking distance of all services and many fine restaurants. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The in-room air conditioning was very welcome, as was the beautiful swimming pool. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we always felt safe and secure. We would highly recommend this hotel.

A relaxing and comfortable stay made even more special with the extremely helpful and accommodating personnel, including the manager Yailene, and the staff, Karla, Estefany, and Jose Luis. Thank you all!

Great location, friendly staff, large rooms

Location is very central and easy to walk to the grocery store, markets and the main square. Breakfast is basic but good, fruit, eggs, beans. Hotel is nice and the rooms are huge. They are outfitted with a fridge, including freezer, sink and microwave. There is a kitchen table and the space if big. The staff are great and very friendly. They have a water fountain you can refill your water bottles at which was great.

The only negative is the building is noisy. Not from outside noise but from within the building. The walls and floors are thin and you can hear your neighbors. The hotel was quiet while were were there so it wasn't a big issue but it definitely kept me awake a few nights as I could hear chatter in the hallways.

Beds are quite comfy and really liked the pool, would be nice if the loungers were like the ones in the pictures. Breakfast was good, nothing exciting but a nice easy breakfast. Would have loved to have some water available at breakfast in addition to the juice and coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful, easy to get a taxi.

It would be nice to have some sort of drinking water, even just one bottle in the room when you arrive. Towels are small and not great by the pool, they should think about getting some larger, pool only towels as many people travel with carry-on and won’t bring their own. Had to pay for all 7 nights upfront which is a bit unusual and also not how it is listed here. Didn’t love the 2 days in a row of gas-powered power washing happening on the pool deck and really wish they would clean off the dirt and bird poop on the loungers.

Clean, decent breakfast, comfy beds, large room with mini kitchen. Pool was nice medium size. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood.

Feels like a business hotel with no character. Not much nearby to walk to. 10-15 min walk to town center. oxxo 3+ blocks away. Nowhere near a beach for swimming. You'd want or even need a taxi or car to stay here.

I did not see a spa or gym at the hotel, only the pool. There was no iron in the room.

Overall we liked our stay at the Mayev Express and would stay here again if we came back

We enjoyed the fresh fruit at breakfast. It would have been nice if there was more variety such as eggs made to order instead of scrambled. We would have liked the option of toast everyday, but I realize you can't please everyone. The coffee was great. Loved the pool often had it to ourselves.

A suggestion would be to put a hand rail of some sort to enter and exit the pool as it was a bit awkward for us older people.

Quiet roomy clean comfortable with excellent staff

Breakfast was great. Service at breakfast was impeccable. Loved the location - tucked in a quiet residential area with plenty of restaurants. We stayed here one night to avoid the noise of Carnival in Santa Cruz. Returned for a second night, when we found out that carnival was not yet over.....definitely recommend this small hotel - the pool area has the feel of a mini resort.

The only thing that could have been better was a coffee maker in the room.

We would stay there again!

We were there because of a delayed flight. It was a last minute reservation and we liked it better than the place we had just left after a week. Lovely staff, nice pool, kitchenette, quiet, near lots of restaurants etc.
