Finca rural Los Tanquillos

The villa is even better than the pictures. It was more than big enough for our group of 11 adults. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The owners were really friendly and helpful. The pool was a great size and was warm (even without heating). It's about a 20-minute drive to Maspalomos - the windy hills are about 15 minutes if that. Because it's in the hills, you feel like you're in your own little world, which was great. I would highly recommend this place!

The road to get to the villa is quite narrow and windy (not super difficult, but if you're not a confident driver, it could be tough)

De kranen in de badkamer zijn wat gedateerd, een thermostaat kraan zou beter voldoen. Het zou naar mijn maatstaven iets schoner mogen. Bijvoorbeeld de keukenkast handvaten en de keukenladen.

The house is fantastic - very well located in beautiful surroundings, very cut off from the busy areas of the island. It is spacious and the garden is huge. Romain, the host, is very attentive and responsive. He helped us with everything we needed. Having an outdoor kitchen is such a nice feature for a holiday house. To note that the property comes with a dog which should be mentioned in the description. We did not mind and Romain offered to take him away, but guests need to know that it comes with the responsibilities of having a pet living with you.

Furniture and decor needs sprucing up. A few items are old and should be replaced. Shower heads in most bathrooms could not be hanged on the wall as they were broken. The fee for the swimming pool to be warmed up is a bit excessive - even though it’s clearly stated in the description. As the villa is on the mountain, that cost should be absorbed as part of the rent, not added on top.
