    Our first choice when staying in the area. Probably eight visits in the last 18 months. Great combination of pub, hotel and Indian restaurant. Food is and staff are great. Breakfast included. Convenient for Belper and Derby. Frequent bus service outside that goes to various Derbyshire towns.

    Perfect for an overnight stay. Convenient location with car parking. Clean and tidy and a good choice of breakfast . Although we didn’t eat there in the evening there is an Indian restaurant attached.

    So pleased we had the opportunity to stay here while attending a family wedding at Shottle Hall. It’s a lovely place with very friendly and helpful staff. It was a real shame we couldn’t spend longer here to enjoy the room and breakfast some more. We would have no hesitation staying here again and highly recommend it.

    We stayed just one night on route home. We ate dinner in the restaurant (curry restaurant) which was good. The bar area is very clean comfortable with thoughtful decor. Room was comfortable and the breakfast excellent. A good location to enjoy some walks.
