At least we didn't get bedbugs?

On the morning of our arrival, we were moved to a different property "due to some emergency maintenance issues". This review is therefore for the property we were moved to, 16 Edward St Bridgend CF31 3AB, which the host stated is a "more nicer property" compared to 61 Nolton.

The front door is very finicky to lock-- it always takes multiple attempts. The house was filthy, with stained walls, muddy carpet on the stairs, and a strong smell of cigarette smoke (which made for a horrible weekend for the guest with asthma). The coffee tin in the kitchen had what looked like dead worms in it. The back yard is concreted over, with tipped-over paint cans for decoration. One of the two twin mattresses is completely worn out and very uncomfortable to sleep on. Oh, and the police came round wanting to interview the homeowners; I'm sure there's nothing sketchy happening here at all. I'm a pretty forgiving traveler. I've stayed in bunk beds in youth hostels in Asia, I've stayed in unheated cabins with pit toilets, I've stayed in motels where drug busts were happening next door-- if I get a good deal and know what I'm getting into, whatever. But I paid THREE HUNDRED GBP to stay here for two nights, based on the previous positive reviews. Context for my international readers so you know how absurd this is: we just stayed at a cute boutique hotel in central London, which gave us amazing service and free breakfast, for only £136 per night! Absolutely do not recommend this place at all.

We were moved from property to another due to maintenance, so stayed at a house near by, didn’t look much from outside but inside really well to a high spec

Only complaint was the sensor lights on landing and there wasn’t a mirror

unfortunately it hadn’t been cleaned properly the kitchen ware was dirty the carpets not been hoovered. There was water on floor by washing machine. property didn’t have parking space so was luck of draw if could park close be. A lot of stairs for anyone that struggles to walk as rooms on different floors.

Nothing at all!!! Oh sorry there was a nice pub down the street that we had to go in to try and find the place

No parking, the place was dirty, all you smell was indian food being cooked from the restaurant below, all the bed slats where loose and broken. No electricity for over an hour when we arrived there this was worse because we had a 1 year old baby with us. We had 2 clean his feet using wet wipes 3 times in the 1st hour due to the floor being dirty. Wouldnt stay there again if I was paid to!! It was a bit like being on I'm a celebrity get me out of here
