Aghata Palms Riad

Nous voulions un RIAD et nous avons trouvé dans Aghata Palms exactement ce que nous recherchions. L'intérieur était magique pour nous, une immersion complète, un calme absolu, notre hôte était adorable et aux petits soins pour nous avec sa gentillesse et le soin particulier apporté à nos petits déjeuners, tellement copieux que nous pouvions tenir jusque tard dans l'après midi ! Bienveillante et toujours réactive, un grand merci à elle. La situation était parfaite pour nous, nous avons pu déambuler dans les rues sans transport, à part pour nos activités bien sûr, les taxis nous récupérant à proximité. Essaouira nous a conquis et nous retenons cette adresse sans problème.

Absolument rien, tout était PARFAIT

Nous étions dans l’appartement du 2eme étage, nous étions très bien installé. Proche de toutes les commodités. C’était parfait.

Il n’y à rien que nous n’avons pas aimé. S’il faut dire quelque chose, notre salle de bain , la 2eme est un peu petite.

It is such a lovely riad with spacious apartments, one that we had for ourselves, its great value for money. The kitchen is so helpful when traveling with children as we were able to prepare simple meals. The pool was a big hit too! Location is excellent, a few minutes walk from the beach and main shopping streets but also tucked away so its not too noisy. The entire area feels very safe. Last but not least, the lady who made our breakfast was wonderful and adjusted her timing to our early breakfast. The owner kept steady contact with us which made us feel well looked after. Definitely recommend this place!

Nothing to complain about.

This must be the only Riad in the Medina with Palm trees in the garden. We have never been to Morocco before. A real culture shock to begin with, walking through the little alleys to this tucked away riad,which is right against the old walls, with the sea behind approx 200 m away. Once inside, this private residence is a feast for the eyes. We two were given the entire first floor, up a couple of flights of chequered tiled steps. A most beautiful tiled landing with two ensuite bedrooms with, a large kitchen, fully equipped and then at the end of the railed landing a large sitting room with gorgeous antique furniture, overlooking the enclosed garden and pool as in the photo. A spiral staircase gave our middle floor a second access. The housekeeper Fouzia greeted us and showed us around then each day made us a traditional breakfast and did our rooms. We ate out so didn't use the kitchen. Sad to leave after a week. We went to concerts for five of the days as it was the 22nd music festival.

The medina and alleys are a bit grubby and cats are everywhere, but hey..what an experience! A walk along the beach we found the smart beach bars and restaurants. A few beggars, but totally safe to wander the busy medina and streets outside the walls, even at night.
