小樽民泊太田1号館

建物そのものは古いものであったが、清掃などの手入れがよくなされていて、気持ちよく宿泊できた。 女将がとても気さくな方で、街の情報などもたくさんいただけた。

これは良くない点に当てはまらないかもしれませんが、小樽の中心街から少し時間がかかるので、食事に行くときは十分に余裕を見て出た方がよいと思った。

The owner was extremely friendly. Too much snow but old gold wooden stove was so lovely!

Finding the place was a little bit challenging. It was possibly due to heavy snowfall this year. I asked a guy nearby cleaning snow nearby. He should me the direction but.,, After a couple of minutes he arrived in his car. telling me got it and kindly guide us!

It’s a house turned into like a hostel but with private rooms. It’s cosy and does the job. The owner doesn’t live there. You are just sharing with other travellers. Security and locking doors / your room is very good with codes. It’s comfortable and warm. Shared bathrooms and separate toilets.

It’s unclear what kind of place it is until you get there. Needs better explanations in the checkin email / messages. It’s old and a bit rundown, and a bit dark, not a criticism but could make some people uncomfortable. CCTV cameras everywhere have it a bad vibe. Bigger light in our room not working, only the small one. Instructions for the heater not available, had to ask other guests how to use it. Possibly should use the ceiling fan as heater is run on some kind of gas, but that’s also not clear.
