Number SIX house for up to 5 guests with 2 bedrooms

Clean house, helpful manager and kind staff who topped us up with clean towels, toilet roll and water.

The location was good for the first week. We had a longer stay (11 nights) and sadly the last 4 days we got hardly any sleep. It's not the fault of Number SIX but if you're sensitive to noise then maybe book elsewhere as the walls are thin. Even with ear plugs, retreating to the inner room (so 2 walls between us) and squeezing a pillow over my head it was too noisy. First there were some young people who kept revving their motorbikes at midnight about 10foot from the door of our bedroom which meant lights shining through om tp our bed and noise, then a very enthusiastic family moved in with a child who wailed and vocalised until 11pm and then began again at 5am, and this was punctuated by a pack of dogs fighting, barking and howling at about 2am. Then the cherry on the cake the very last morning some municipal workers started running a neumatic drill outside the kitchen window from 9am-9.30am just as we thought we might get a little bit of peace after the family next door finished their breakfast. I probably sound miserable but we were also travelling with an 8 year old- we aren't anti kids or anti fun but we now travel with a grumpy child who hasn't slept in days So we had a week of peace followed by 4 days of hardly any rest at all. Not the fault of number six as I said, but be aware of it before booking.

Location central to everything

Beach is at a walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet though the whole area looked like student housing but once inside the rooms, you have your own space. Helpful staff.

Kitchen utensils were not great. Plates were of cheap melamine. Teflon from one pan was peeling away. Kettle didn’t work but the manager promptly replaced it with a new one (thank you!). Kitchen and bath sink slow to drain and one has to be mindful not to bump his/head against the cabinet right above the kitchen sink if you are tall.
