Very aesthetically pleasing bothy hut with enough space for dining/relaxing by the fire inside. Wet room was lovely with rain styled shower head, and very modern style toilet and shower design overall. Hot tub was great to sit in during the evening time. The staff were super helpful and only a text away. We ran out of hot water for the shower and the staff were onsite and able to change over to a full gas canister super quick!

The hot tub is wood burning stove powered, so you would need plenty of logs that need pushed in and stuffed all the way into the back of the oven in order to get the water heated. My partner and I wanted to go in to the hot tub shortly after our check in, but because there wasn’t enough logs stocked up in the stove when we got there, the water was quite cold unfortunately. The bed was not the comfiest and there was only 1 pillow per person, in which the pillows weren’t the most firm. My partner and I ended up waking up with quite bad neck pain from the lack of support. The inside wood burning stove started to produce smoke out of the door when the wood was dying out (which was properly closed as we triple checked), which resulted in the hut smelling of smoke during the night and the fire alarm briefly going off. Seeing as we were coming in from the hot tub to get showered after, I feel the hut could benefit from a drying rack for the towels in the room where the wood burning stove is just so they can dry off evenly. We saw there were hanging points for the towels in the bathroom but when the bathroom door is closed during the night the heat from the wood burning stove won’t be able to get in to dry off the towels, this is more of a suggestion due to personal preference though!

Wonderful getaway!

Very relaxing. Location was lovely. The cabin was beautiful, very cosy and homely. Made the use of extra amenities such as toaster and nespresso machine. Hot tub was amazing, lovely extra touch that it was preheated for us arriving. Extra breakfast items was a lovely touch :)

An extra pillow wouldn’t have gone a miss but overall a great stay :)

Cozy lovely night away

It was so beautiful and cozy, the hot tub was lovely, a nice wee night away. Kyle was so nice and helpful and let us see the lambs. The stove kept the bothy hut so warm and cozy. I would definitely come back and stay again, I would recommend this to anyone looking a nice staycation

An experience straight out of a Storybook

Absolutely outstanding stay! The setting is stunning and so picturesque. We booked clay pigeon shooting last minute and it was an unforgettable experience. The grounds are beautiful, the guys that run it are lovely, and even the farm animals and swans on the lake made it feel magical. We had the most wonderful time highly recommend it!

A perfect peaceful getaway with thoughtful touches and total relaxation!

We absolutely loved how peaceful and quiet the property was, it really felt like we were the only people around! The attention to detail was fantastic, from the hot tub being lit and ready for our arrival to the little touches like a croissant, juice, and coffee pod for the next morning. The cosy fire inside the hut kept it lovely and toasty, and the “offline” vibes made it even more relaxing. The décor was modern yet homely, the bed was super comfy. Overall the place just had such a calm, thoughtful feel. You can tell the host genuinely cares – they just seem like a really nice person, which makes all the difference.

Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike! If I had to pick something, it would just be that there were only two pillows on the bed and they were a little flatter than we are used to. Also, just a heads-up that only two towels are supplied, so it’s worth bringing an extra one for after the hot tub. Other than that, everything was perfect!

We loved our stay at Four Acres, an absolutely gorgeous little Sheperds hut with a wood fired hot tub over looking the lake. Such a peaceful and tranquil setting, a perfect night away from it all. We can’t wait to go back.

Great location, very peaceful, beautiful views and the hot tub was very nice! Hut was stunning, very cute and had everything you need for a nights stay! Weather wasn't on our side but still made the most of it!

Perfect for a quick getaway!

Perfect place for a little getaway! The location is beautiful surrounded by fields and a mini lake. The hot tub was a highlight and perfect to sit in while the sun goes down. There are menus from local takeaways who can deliver to you - Farina Pizza was delish! The hut itself is adorable and has everything you need. The little breakfast snack and drink provided is a bonus.

Lovely and quiet stay guaranteed

Nice and peaceful with plenty of little extras included in the price. Great fence available to bring your dog as well which is always a plus. The owner was also happy to help us with starting the log burners when we were confused.

Would have liked the option for an extra pillow as one per person was not as comfortable.

We loved it

We had a brilliant night away. Staying for my partners birthday. It was brilliant that we were able to bring our dog! I think she had more fun than us, just being able to run wild without any fear of her escaping! We will definitely return again. My only downfall for here was that the bed was just too hard. Thats maybe some peoples preference but it just wasn’t good on my back. Other than that. Amazing.

Tranquil , relaxing Shepherds hut with a gorgeous lake few .

We had a wonderful, relaxing break with a gorgeous view overlooking a lake, it was very peaceful. The Shepherds hut was basic but clean and comfortable the only negative is a radio and maybe a few snacks included in the price would be a nice touch . The Hot tub was great and when we went out for our tea the owner lit the hot tub for us so it was ready for us when we returned and also supplied robes . The location was only a few miles outside the beautiful fishing village of Donaghadee where you will find plenty of restaurants and bars . We will definitely return!

Secluded shepherd hut with heavenly peaceful scenery.

The peaceful remote location was excellent to escape and forget the day to day lifestyle. A secluded pitch to which our dog could roam freely and safely. Plenty to do in the local area. We can't wait to find the time to get booked again.
