Hammy's Cottage

Very well equipped and internally well designed themed decor. Kitchen is spacious and living room area was comfortable. Bedrooms were good use of space and bathroom/shower is a generous size. Drummore is a very friendly village and Hammys is central to the main street. Both pubs are easy walking distance and beach while small is only a short 10.min walk. Good spot to explore all the attractions of Mull of Galliway and wider area.

The outside courtyard could be easily improved and become a nice space to relax with a glass of wine in warmer evenings...especially a Monday when both pubs in Drummore are closed all day...strange decision. Outside light wasnt working and its the site for bins which could be hidden with a suitable storage unit. Would benefit from a good clean and freshened up with some stone paint and garden decor? A lot of money has been spent on themed internal furnishings but the enclosed courtyard has not had a similar investment. Given most clients will be "outdoor types", I would suggest the outdoor space could be a good selling point if it was improved?

The cottage was beautifully presented with a maritime feel. Fully equipped and very comfortable- a genuine home from home. The owners had thought of everything. It was set in a convenient location in the centre of the village close to shop, cafe, pub and beaches. There were lots of interesting places to visit within an hour's drive, and the local pub food was excellent, reasonably priced and had entertainment on various nights.
