It was a nice peaceful pod close to beautiful beaches and walks

There was quite a lot of patches of damp around the pod. There were paint touch ups needed too. Also think before booking the road to the pod needs to be addressed as we have had to pay a small fortune to get car repairs due to this. I understand it’s a working farm but we have a standard car and we found it difficult to drive. People with low cars may not be able to make it.

Unfortunately I have never seen so many pests at the same time in my entire life even in summer months, whereas I visited in October. Perhaps my experience was isolated and in a bad period. On more than one occasion the hot tub cover and my partners car were covered in a blanket, a blanket, of houseflies. I appreciate the pod/ cabin is on a working dairy farm, but we were not close to animals, so I don't understand where these flies came from, but there was also a variety of crawlies that also managed to get in even though windows and doors were closed. This progressively got worse over the week, but was the extreme on Thursday night. Numerous house flies in the cabin which we had managed to disperse initially, but subsequently house flies, gnats, crane flies, and the occasional wasp frequented, and en masse Thursday. Bug spray was left under the sink and a plug in fly zapper in a cupboard, so I assume this issue is common and the rate the zapper was going off one evening you would confuse the day as November 5th A woodlouse crawled over the sofa bed as we were watching TV on 2 occasions, a money spider on another, and in general where I picked something up off the floor by the end of the week a woodlouse would appear including when I was having a shower and one crawled out from under the shampoo bottle. A live in spider appears to also reside in a cranny above the bathroom door and is well fed as we also saw. As a result, myself and my partner are covered in numerous bites and now scratches which are still bothering me today, Monday, when we left Friday morning. Additional aspects, host warned us on the day that work was being done on the lanes leading to the property. Not an issue, but the 3 door car did have a bit of difficulty going over the bumpy terrain back and forth. The underfloor heating, where available, could become incredibly hot in certain patches, even though covered with laminate.
