Beautiful property, close to Dieppe. We were greeted by a friendly host who assisted us with luggage to our period room. Nice breakfast and free parking.
Facilities lacking a little, for example, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. No shower wash in shower.
It’s a beautiful old property, but when I shut the curtains there was a significant amount of dust released.

If anyone is looking for a masterclass in how to run a hotel, then they should stay at Le Chateau de Bertreville . The owner is a stupendous host and a magnificent chef who cooked us a dinner to die for - easily our best meal of the entire holiday. The setting and grounds are fabulous, rooms lovely (and spacious), comfortable beds and great, huge shower. We would have stayed longer if we didn't have a ferry to catch!

We booked last minute and had the smallest room I suppose, the one with the blue wall paper.
The castle in itself is great, the garden, the animals on the grounds, the old gigantic trees. The host is really friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was really good. We paid €135 for the room inclusive of breakfast, which could have been good value if the room was just basic ok. But we were disappointed by the small bed and the outdated bathroom. A pity really, cause that could be fixed easily.
The room didn't meet my expectations. First of all the bed was not really wide, so for a couple that is used to sleep in a large bed this is no option. With the summer heat, this was not confy so we didn't sleep wel. The bathroom was outdated and small: the shower was really tiny and with a door, the grout between the tiles was dirty in some parts due to aging. For a venue of this class I really expected better. It is not such a great investment to renovate the bathroom.
