If you have the opportunity to stay at Mountain Palace you have to take it! I feel so lucky to have met Asha and Haresh. Before we even arrived I knew we’d be in safe hands as they helped us find our way from the airport to their home. They welcomed us with a nighttime tea and chat. Every morning they helped us plan our itinerary for the day with all the hidden gems and tips and tricks they knew, from quicker routes to town & parking spots, to the best places for dinner and must sees around Trinidad. We wouldn’t have discovered the amazing bird watching boat tour without them which you have to do if you visit ! They contacted the company and organised the trip for us which meant a lot. A highlight was when Asha and Haresh took us for breakfast round the corner of the house, they showed us the best spot to try Doubles and pies. The Mountain Palace itself is beautiful, only 25 mins from the airport, but suddenly you’re surrounded by the most luscious mountain views! Our room was perfect and the facilities were great. Asha made us a complimentary breakfast of omelettes (trini style!), cakes, coconut buns, chicken sausages, juices, tea, coffee. She even packed us snacks for our day to the beach. We wish we could have stayed longer, and we can’t wait to come back 💛 thank you for everything Asha and Haresh!!!

Nothing - it was perfect!

We were absolutely enchanted by this charming retreat. The cozy ambiance and breathtaking mountain view made our stay truly unforgettable. The food was absolutely delightful. Asha and Hatesh were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. We highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful and memorable experience.

The hotel has a great location, with hummingbirds frequently coming right up close. The hosts were very friendly and helpful — they offered late-night airport transfers at a fair price and even provided free rides to nearby Yerette.
