We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa das Lérias, Amarante. We appreciated the clean room, comfortable bed and beautiful view of the river. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is very well situated and within walking distance to the famous bridge, shops and restaurants.

Property is located right in the centre, a few steps away from the cathedral, bridge and river side. The property has a nice design and was very well kept and clean. They also have a nice coffee shop at street level, where a good breakfast is served.
This part of Amarante is beautiful and romantic and is worth a few days visit if you are in the Douro region. Porto Airport is some 40 minutes away.
The toilet was squashed between the wall and the vanity unit and though I am not a big person it was still very uncomfortable. On the first night there was a street party with very loud music till 3.30am, this is not the hotel's fault but we were utterly annoyed as we could not sleep.

Amazing hotel: stylish, clean, lovely staff, liked everything.
I would add some veggies to the breakfast: green salad, mix salad or just cucumbers and tomatoes to add to your bread and eggs.
