Disappointed by Maintenance and Pest Issues

I really liked the lake and the quiet neighborhood. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked.

Unfortunately, our stay had several issues. We found live animals in the house, including lizards and very large roaches—not the small kind, but noticeably big ones. We also reported that one of the lights in the room wasn’t working. Although we were told maintenance was going to fix it, no one ever showed up. We had to move a lamp from another room just to have light, which was very disappointing.

Met our basic needs for a short stay .

The was convenient from the airport and to our cruise port. The beds were comfortable and the screen porch was nice for our group to play cards and hang out (as the inside is small). The house was fine for our one night stay. Would not have wanted to stay for here for a prolonged trip.

The unit was technically clean but could use a deep clean with wall washing etc. While it does sleep 6, there is only one small bathroom and it doesn't have a fan. The airport noise over the house is considerable. There are large iguanas all over the trees alongside the house-- if you're not a fan of those guys, this is not the house for you.

Easy access to NSU campus and FLL airport

The beds were very comfortable and the AC was nice and cold with a simple thermostat that was easy to operate. The kitchen was spacious, modern, and well equipped. The unit has an expansive outdoor area with a deck overlooking a large pond. It was fun to watch the ducks nearby. It was less than 10 minutes to drive to campus and less than 20 from the airport. Convenient!

I feel badly for saying that the pre- arrival process was cumbersome. I was asked to use a new app that I’ve never heard of. I also kept receiving the same email from the management company asking me to submit photos of my drivers license and credit card, front and back. I felt really awkward sending such personal info by email. It just doesn’t feel right. Even after I provided it, the same email kept coming to my inbox. Very frustrating. Also, please know that we were safe in the neighborhood, but upon arrival the area has a less than appealing vibe to it in my humble opinion. For the price we paid I don’t think we’d go back again.

Ein tolles Haus am See

Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Lake House. Alle wichtigen Informationen bekamen wir im Vorfeld per Mail. Das Haus war sehr geräumig und modern eingerichtet. Das WLAN funktionierte einwandfrei. Besonders haben uns die Terrasse mit Ausblick auf den See und die tolle Küche gefallen. Der Parkplatz war direkt vorm Haus. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und werden bestimmt wiederkommen.

Uns hat einfach alles gefallen. Es gab keinen Grund zur Reklamation.
