Wafts of sewage smells at the entrance of our room!

Although the hotel is old and in need of a renovation the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptional there was nothing that they could have done to make our stay more comforable.

Part of the hotel has been renovated they could have booked us in there. The wall sockets did not work so for coffee and hairdryer we had to use another room that is how we know that there were other newer rooms available.

We just loved Ye old English Ambience...with the new renovations please dont deviate from this quaint, delightful old fashioned statement...of Old world charm. Country Shabby Chic. Country fare and Pub..awesome!

We did not have the shower in the room..but the staff very kindly allowed us to us one 2 doors away in another room.

Very special place and very special to experience the history of such an old establishment. Beautiful surroundings and magnificent gardens. The building is old, which is what attracted us to stay there.

The building is old and very tired. Some effort could definitely be put into making it nicer - like the passage ceiling - even just being painted would make a huge difference. Room was clean but bathroom was mouldy and the door did not close. None of this really worried us but it wasnt cheap, as we selected a superior room, so was expecting a little more. There was no view at all from our room and it was super hot without a fan of any nature. Thankfully we had one in the car and used our own.
