Pensieri di Cavatina

Beautiful view.

The room was a bit small.

We spent a few days at Pensieri Di Cavatina in September, and it was the perfect start to our vacation. We arrived straight from our busy everyday lives and immediately felt calm and relaxed. The view from the hill is beautiful, especially in the morning at sunrise! We loved the breakfast, and the property offers plenty of space to read, chill by the pool, or simply sit outside and enjoy the view. There are also lots of great restaurants for dinner nearby, all just a 10–20 minute drive away. One day, we simply spent the whole day by the pool with drinks and books, and the next day we took a day trip to Siena. If you’re looking for a place to truly slow down, without any noise or action – this is it! We will definitely come back! Also, we brought our two little dogs with us, and the staff was so lovely and kind to them. They really made it the perfect little getaway for all of us! ❤️

The view from the room. The fittings were high quality, obviously money had been spent setting the place up.

There was a problem and the restaurant was closed with only a couple of hours notice. Without the option to dine on site this is just another b&b without the friendly service normally offered in a b&b. There wasn’t even a bottle of water offered in the room, just those to pay for in the minibar, the only place this happened on our whole trip.

Beautiful property

I was disappointed. After driving 10 hours we decided to splurge and get a place with a hot tub. When we checked in we made a b line for the large outdoor hot tub. The water was lukewarm so we pumped up the temp and waited an hour. Came out an hour later with our robes and a drink and the temp had not moved at all. I asked the hotel manager and he shrugged and said he couldn't help. Went to bed :(
