Amazing location

Big problem with parking.

The apartment itself met expectations. It was spacious enough and pretty much everything we needed for a 10 night stay was provided.

There were two main issues. It's debatable whether or not the issues were within the control of the host. The principal issue was in an infestation of tiny, ant-like creatures, principally in the bathroom but which spread to other areas of the apartment including our food and toiletries. One particularly unpleasant incident was when my partner took a shower and the towel she used to dry herself was (unknown to her at the time) infested with ants that transferred to her body. We found ants in our breakfast cereal, condiments, soap and toothpaste tube. Very unpleasant. The second issue was the bedding, which was clean, but stale. It hadn't been dried quickly enough after being washed and possessed that stale washing smell, which, in all honesty, made it unpleasant to actually get into the bed at night. The remaining issue was something which, on reflection, was something all apartments in a multi-occupancy apartment block can suffer from, and that was a noisy party in the apartment directly above us, that went on until about 5am. Outside of the party, we were regularly disturbed by the residents in the apartment in above. There was pretty much zero sound proofing between the different floors. Parking is worthy of a mention. If you're travelling in a car, parking is at a premium. One of the other residents of our apartment block left us a hand-written message complaining about us using 'their' parking space, even though there were no marked, allocated parking places, and the roads in the immediate vicinity are unmade, full of pot holes and prone to flooding when it rained.
