OSPREY ISLAND RETREAT

It was such a great place to come back to at the end of the day, somewhere we could sleep, recharge and enjoy some uninterrupted peace away from the chaos of the rest of the family and grandkids at night. 😂❤️ Hubby and I actually loved that we ended up being the only ones staying at Osprey Oasis. Unfortunately, with our parents being unwell and unable to travel, it meant it was just the two of us there, so we were definitely spoilt for space and had our pick of beds! 😂 After full days surrounded by family, noise, laughter and beautiful chaos, having a quiet little retreat to escape back to each night was honestly perfect. 🥰

We definitely didn’t utilise the house to its full capacity during our stay. The pool and pontoon weren’t used at all, in fact, we didn’t even manage to step outside and have a proper walk around the property! We also didn’t cook or watch television during our stay, as we literally only returned to the property each evening to shower, sleep and recharge before heading out again. Just a couple of minor things we noticed that may be helpful for the hosts to be aware of. One of the twin beds closest to the main bedroom had been made up with linen that appeared to have some dirty marks around the foot of the bed, possibly from shoes or feet. This may simply have been an oversight during cleaning, and as we had plenty of other beds available, we just chose not to use that one. On our first night, we also noticed some traces of hair on the main bathroom floor and in the shower. Neither of these things negatively affected our stay and they were certainly not significant enough to cause us any concern. They are both easily rectified, and overall we were very comfortable during our time at the property.

Was a great venue for a large family

An amazing holiday home with everything our family of 6 needed for our stay. Plenty to keep the kids entertained and also the perf spot to unwind.

The house was well set up, making it easy to cook some nights. Beside from the canal outlook and amazing pool, cleanliness was second to none and the fresh cold towels, water and champagne also made arrival impressive.

Lack of steak knives and scissors as well as the cleaning was a bit hit and miss there we items under most of the beds and lots of dust as well
