The Palms Apartment - Sun & Sea Madeira

This apartment is very beautiful and clean. I enjoyed every moment of being here. The check-in process was smooth and quick. Very friendly host sent me detailed instructions and 2 videos, explaining where to find lockbox with the key. There was plenty of parking space, which was important for me since I rented the car. The beautiful Madalena Do Mar beach is located just steps away from the apartment. There is a huge balcony in the apartment where you can sit and drink your coffee. Although, as someone noted here, there is no actual sea view from the apartment, the building has the sea view and it is located next door to the newly opened crossfit gym. It offers group classes at the morning and at the evening that you can join. You can find the gym on instagram, just look for crossfitfnchybrid. The atmosphere is very positive and energetic. Also, I enjoyed that the place is very quiet at night and is conveniently located near restaurants, beautiful church and banana path. Although apartment doesn’t have AC but it has fan. I used it only a few times because apartment is very cool and doesn’t get overheated during the day. Also there is a washing machine and you can hang your clothes on the balcony. I had everything I needed during my stay here and felt like at home. I also appreciate the big refrigerator. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Wi-fi service was fast.

Someone noticed here in reviews a few negative things. Let me discuss them. 1) Ants. The very small ants come to the apartment only if you leave food on the countertop. If you put all food in the refrigerator, ants will not bother you. 2) There is some smell in the bathroom. But it is an issue of the building not the apartment. There are air fresheners and this smell was not a really big deal for me compared to how great this apartment was. 3) There is no seaview from the apartment. But there is a seaview from the building. Also the newly opened beautiful crossfit gym, many restaurants, beach, a church, banana path located right next door. Easy parking. If you are out all day, exploring the island like I did, you come back home late at night and you really don’t need much of the sea view when it’s dark. You need a seaview only if you’re planning to stay in all day. So although this apartment does have some minor issues, they were nothing compared to all advantages this apartment offers.

Certains matins le club de gym faisait des bruits très tôt . Certains voisins ont été très bruyant.

Daar heb je zon, zee en bergen . Accommodatie was schoon en groot. Vanuit het balkon mooie uitzicht op berg. Het locatie is de warmste plek van Madeira en altijd zon.

Locatie bevindt zicht in Madalena do Mar. Er is geen supermarkt of winkel in de buurt. De bussen rijden op onregelmatige tijden of helemaal niet! Zonder auto te huren moet je daar niet heen.
