Varandas do Castelo By Garvetur

We had the most wonderful stay here for our honeymoon. They gave us the most gorgeous room (A2), it had a very large balcony with sun beds and other lovely furniture. They even decorated the room for us which was incredibly sweet. The location was perfect. 15 minutes away from the old town which was only 5-7euros in a taxi each way. You have 2 beaches walkable from the apartment as well. We didn't get the chance to eat at the restaurant there, but we checked while away and it is one of the most popular and highly rated restaurants in the area. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. She even waited past her lunch break for us to check in as we was running slightly behind. We would 100% come back, we had the most amazing time. Thank you so much.

Very modern and great position with stunning views

Absolutely beautiful apartment Huge balcony with comfortable seating and dining options Stunning sea views Quiet location, no noise at night Secure underground parking SMART TV with internet access Very good WiFi Everything you need from cutlery, crockery to washing machine and dishwasher all provided Swimming pool and plenty of sun loungers 5 minute walk to the excellent beaches of Castelo and Everesto The New Dubliner bar is 2 mins away and does an excellent pint of Guinness and ham/cheese toasties etc. also a reasonable mini kart next door for water, beers and other essentials. DO NOT go to the mini mart in the nearby Hapimag resort as it is extortionate prices. Staff from the management company were excellent and super friendly and helpful

There is nothing that we did not like however be aware that it is a bit out from the main busy parts of the Marina and Albufeira old town so if you are looking for lots of action and nighttime bars etc it will mean a taxi ride to get there. However the plus side is that the apartments are super quiet and very relaxing. Also there is no gym on site which would be a very welcome addition for those who want to keep fitness routines going while away from home.

I thought the property was stunning and we had a really wonderful time there & would of 100% returned had what happened the last day of our stay not occurred. Beautiful peaceful & relaxing place.. but

On the last day of our stay a large group arrived at the apartments, they had no regard for any of the other guests at the apartments, they behaved badly around the pool during the day being inappropriate and playing loud music spoiling everyone's peace & tranquillity outside. Unfortunately for us they were staying in the apartment directly above us and caused noise issues with music & partying until late, we ended up finding somewhere to stay for the night & had to leave our apartment to try and get any sleep. The apartments have no reception in the evenings/night so although we phoned the helpline number to report the issue we were told nothing can be done until the next day. We came back to the hotel the next morning to collect our stuff & check out, we were told by the receptionist that we should of phoned the police... really! So we as a couple are supposed to sort the issue of a large group of rowdy, intoxicated neighbours. These people had shown no regard for others all day and night so I very much doubt even if the police had turned up and asked them to quieten down that they would of done so once the police had left and frankly we did not need the hassle of them then deciding to take umbrage to our complaint. We were on holiday to relax not deal with issues at the apartments we were staying in. It really was a great shame that this had happened as our short break had been perfect before this but it made us realise that you do not have the back up of security or help like you would in a staffed 24 hour reception hotel should an incident occur.
