Could have been so good if someone had just checked the heating system was working
The heating didn't work and it was freezing. I have sent the following to booking.com 7 times and no response "I wrote to you shortly after our stay at the Black Bull in Appleby. It seems a shame to have to repeat myself but in brief it was the coldest night of the year so far and the heating didn't work. They sent a plumber who said the heating needed a full overhaul.. They then provided two oil filled radiators to heat 13 large rooms and all over the weekend of my mothers' 100th birthday celebrations. We were freezing and believe that we are due some form of recompense for the intense discomfort and disappointment. "
