Loved everything. The room was so clean and modern. Very comfortable too. The staff was really nice. Location is prime. And also very cheap for what you get.

- decor is modern and very well thought out and executed
- great location in regards to close by places to visit/for food and drink etc
- mini bar in fridge was free and had lots of water and sodas which was great
- staff on check out were helpful and kind
- location is right above a bar which is LOUD. No way can you have the windows open at any time.. after midnight seemed ok. Then early morning you can hear the local school from an early time so this is not a quiet place at all
- hotel entrance is non existent in a sense as it’s just inside the bar below. Hotel feels like a bit of an afterthought to the bar.
- air con was purposely turned off upon arrival. The room was hot and stuffy, and I asked for it to be turned on where I was told it was cold outside? Well yes it’s on the colder side for Heraklion I’m sure but it was warm in the room? After insisting it was warm they said they’d put the air con on for a few hours. It was a good temperature then. After, it went hot again, so warm I felt ill. There’s no direct number for front desk and doesn’t work from my phone so I went down begging later on for it to be turned on and they finally did it so we could have it on all night. I’m not sure why, in a city centre hotel, that lists air con in facilities, it was so hard to have it turned on? Anyways I got vvvv stressed about it.
- not given any advice on the local area or anything on check in, nor anything above a very casual goodbye when going out for the day. They do store your bags which is nice but it’s not locked away so be warned if you have valuables (nothing happened but just a heads up)
- room is super dark, not much lighting and for privacy you need the blinds down.
