The place is big, clean and comfortable. The price was relatively cheap for a place of this size.

The location is horrible. It obviously used to be an office that was turned into an apartment. The place next-door is still a doctor’s office so it gets noisy very early in the morning. The windows don’t have blackout curtains so the light from the street means you can’t sleep after Sunrise. It is located in a sketchy part of the very grey town center. You can find nicer areas within a five minute drive towards the countryside. There is no reason to stay in the city. In other places we stayed the owners left small things that made the stay feel welcome. Like candy or cookies. In this apartment the owner basically left a mini bar menu where everything is for sale. Felt like a hotel room that tries to get money out of you instead of a welcoming experience. The place is filled with signs, making sure you are well aware that you have to pay the city tax. Like that is the most important thing. Oh, and the signs are in Slovakia, of course. The communication with the owner was poor. She insisted on sending us messages not in English. Knowing very well that we don’t understand Slovakian. Getting the code to the key box was like solving a puzzle where the last clue is only received after the check-in time at 2 PM. The place has no on-site parking. You can park on the street and pay for it or you could drive up the hill and look for a residential area to park for free and then walk 10 minutes to the apartment.
