Casa Carmen

Pros- • Centrally located and walkable to all attractions • Cosy and beautifully decorated communal areas in the living room and kitchen-modern but in an historic building • The room was clean and cosy and had a log fire and bath-a real treat at the end of a day exploring. The bathroom itself was clean and spacious • Very accommodating staff as we had arrived for check-in during the early hours of the morning, around 5am • The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful • A bargain for the price and pleasant surprise • Enough functional English is spoken to allow a smooth check-in

Cons- • We booked a tour to the Sumidero canyon through the hotel, and it was one of the worst tours we have ever been on. When we informed the member of staff at the hotel, in detail of our day (the young man usually on the evening/night shift) he was sympathetic but could not get a refund from the tour company. The hotel states in the reception area, that they want their guests to be happy but, on this occasion, we felt let down.

Everything! The design, the location, the staff, the common areas.

Great location, very clean room and spacious. Extremely clean.

Staff isn't responsive to requests via text

You get to live in a house, high end design. Location is great, and the stuff is amazing.

Only thing is the sheets are not 100% cotton which is my strong preference, and the cleaning chemicals have strong smell that lingers.
